SPEED DATING MEME

SPEED DATING MEME
For the Shipper Trash at Heart
RULES
1. Post a comment for your character
2. Reply to at least 3 other characters. (Bonus points for Characters you don't have CR with yet)
3. If you are too shy, see the first comment to be assigned to a random character.
4. Have awkward IC conversations about potential dating compatibility*.
*If your character would not usually be willing to do this, they have a strange compulsion to do so today. They don't know where that compulsion came from. If they try to think about it, they get frustrated and distracted so they've stopped thinking about it. All they know is that they must speed date. All they know is that they must ship. All hail the great shipping trash. All hail.
Re: Korrin Ataash| Dragon Age: Inquisition
I'd... never actually seen a Qunari until I came to Skyhold. To be honest, I don't think I'd've said a word to you without some... event like this. You're quite intimidating.

I wouldn't be a good mercenary if I didn't intimidate anyone, but you have nothing to fear from me. I'm not part of the Qun, so I'm not looking to convert anyone. I'll...spare you the rant on that, but never going to happen.
no subject
I could count what I know of the Qun with one hand and have fingers to spare... but since you're not part of it, I won't ask.
To be honest, what I'm really curious about is your horns. I just... I mean, I don't have any--obviously--and I've always wanted to know about them. Not yours in particular, just...
[She runs a hand through her hair and then laughs--it's obviously at herself.]
Please stop me if I'm being an idiot.

To be honest, I prefer questions over people assuming or making snide remarks. At least then I can correct them. And about the horns...hm, well if they're broken they never grow back. They aren't sensitive in any way, no more than hair or nails are sensitive. But the bases, where the head and horns meet, can get itchy when the air is dry, at least for me. Hence, horn balm.

I'm mostly curious because I've worked with horn before--carving. Halla, mostly. I got to wondering, when I saw my first Qunari, whether or not any might want that sort of thing. Like vallaslin, but for horns.
But then ours have such cultural significance, I wasn't sure if it would be rude to ask.
[A rather impish grin]
Lucky for me they've set up tables for us to say awkward things to one another.

I know, right?
And that's an interesting idea. I have to say, no one's ever thought to ask me before, either, and I've spoken to several of the Dalish around here. I like my horns the way they are now, but if they were ever chipped or broken, that would be something to look into. What would you do for mine, out of curiosity?
no subject
Well, oftentimes the material itself will... 'talk' to me, if you will. There will be shapes that just seem to go well with it. But wood and metal have no opinions, no hopes, or fears, or loves--and if halla do, they can't tell me. I couldn't well go carving a family of bears into your horn just because it looked like it would be a lovely family of bears. What if you hate bears?
It wouldn't inspire much mercenary fear, either. Wouldn't do to have someone's last words, gasped out on the end of your blade, be
[She mimics a dying rasp] 'those bears... so... sweet...'
No, I'd have to know about you first. About what's important to you.
[It's her turn to lean back in the chair, relaxing into the conversation.]
But if you tell me about that, I can tell you what I'd do.
no subject
Fair enough. And for the record, no, I'm not especially bond of bears. That's what happens when I'm fighting them in the Hinterlands for far too long. Let's see...I'm a mercenary, have been all my life. My strength is in storm magic, though I'm looking to expand in other areas here. I suppose I'm as fascinated by dragons as everyone thinks Vashoth and Tal-Vashoth should be, though I'm not suicidal enough to go hunting them on my own.
