There's a few moments where Vayne finds himself confused in turn before smiling in an amicable fashion. It was not the meaning of his words, but he is coming to an understanding that a majority of folk installed thus in Skyhold seem more akin to Dalmascans. It's silent arrogance, but he is aware of playing a certain game due to being of a 'noble house', somewhat akin to the Game he's heard Orlesians engage in. It would do him no good to correct her error, it supplies him with information about the state of things and it gives him something to work with. Not to mention at this point ensuring allies amongst those he is forced to rely on is the course he must keep to if he wishes to understand and gain access to anything.
Remembering to be polite, he introduces himself. "I am called Vayne, it is my pleasure to make your acquaintance." He chuckles, continuing. "Perchance then your overworked self can be lured from such use if materials are deeply necessary and lacking." It's strange to him how none here seem to want to use mage-lights, or at least he assumes they have the ability to cast such things and yet... The imbalance of power, coupled with the lack of control...? "Are there artifacts one can seize upon to make use of?"
