"It's my specialty," fortunately Dante was the sort who could take a joke even if there was an insult riddled within it somewhere. He knew he was brash, it was part of his natural charm and it made him a hardened fighter.
Unfortunately for Anders that wasn't exactly the case, Dante wasn't being inhabited, he was the paranormal entity. Of course if he tried to explain it he wasn't sure whether or not the mage would go off the deep end, he wasn't sure if the people in this world would just lose their collective minds and turn it into a witch hunt. Demons had a bad reputation here, they had a bad reputation in his world, but not all of them were bad, and Dante was only half. The other half was something else entirely, but he wasn't sure if angels existed in their mythos.
And to be honest, when he switched into the devil trigger he absolutely became more aggressive and less forgiving, so he wouldn't be the best example of anything. Though perhaps the one thing he could do would be to keep Justice in line, but that was the extent of it.
"Nothing to repair clothing...now what good is magic if it can't repair clothing? That is magic!" There was an implied thank you in there somewhere, but he forewent it as Anders asked him about the glow. It took him a second to figure out what he meant since it was on his back and he usually didn't get to see it, "ah, that thing. Well, we've just met and you're trying to get me to strip, but I can't blame you."
It was better to show it anyway, explanations weren't his specialty. So he swung rebellion off of his shoulder and leaned it up against the nearest tree. Next he removed his jacket and, sorry Anders, but you're to be his temporary coat hanger as the jacket is folded over the mages left shoulder and the torn shirt is stripped off and folded over his right, he wore an amulet around his neck, but that stayed put. Satisfied Dante turned around.
"That thing that looks like a tattoo...I don't get to look at it often but I still think it looks like a sword stabbing a circle and it kind of has wings, looks pretty normal...but it does the whole light show thing when I'm healing myself or when I'm summoning Rebellion," Dante pointed to the sword he propped up against the tree, "that sword is normally stored inside of me...I don't know if that makes sense or not, but that's the best way I can explain it. I used to be able to summon it and dismiss it with this mark on my back...since I came here I can't do that anymore, but it doesn't effect my ability to heal...apparently."
Turning back around Dante collected his shirt and pulled it back on, his jacket following after, "get all that? It's not a big deal if you don't, it's just something I can do because of what I am."
