Nadja didn't reply right away, still frowning at the rift. What was
the Lady trying to say? What if she had torn the sky open on purpose?
What if they were supposed to stop the inquisition?
But then she looked back at the last tendrils of fade snaking up from where
Runa had smote the demon, and both her heart and her head agreed instantly.
No. This was wrong. It was all wrong, and they had to fix it.
"I'm not sure corpses would be cordial," She murmured, long after she
probably should have replied. "They are too accustomed to us as their
enemies - if we go with blood, blood is what we'll find." She looked at
Runa, and then feeling like she'd been a little hard on the idea, offered
her a soft smile. "There is Valor in diplomacy too. We've come a long way.
We have knowledge we can offer, if little else, and I doubt they will turn
down friendship when offered."

It wasn't as if they had a lot of friends.
