"It will require both of us, if not more." He does not like to admit it. He does not like to admit what this world has gone to him, how he is lessened in some ways. Being different is one thing, but he is not longer able to do as he wishes. He was never master of the Void, but he felt far less its pawn. Here, he feels like he is a pawn on the wrong chessboard, added in for something else's amusement. It is not a feeling he is accustomed to. It is not a feeling he particularly likes.
It is, he supposes, probably something Corvo feels more or less all the time, since the death of Jessamine.

He realizes this is probably rather strange for Corvo, but perhaps it will make him realize the gravity of the situation they're in.
