On one hand, that argument wouldn't hold water, given that the only, only reason he wasn't carving bits off of local wildlife was because he wasn't capable of it, under the circumstances. But Obi-Wan is, at the moment, disinclined to address any inconsistencies in motivation because of all the kriffing bears. Where does the Hinterlands keep getting them all? They're supposed to be apex predators, and certainly they act the part.

Obi-Wan is beginning to feel the same kneejerk exasperation most people express when they say, in that particular tone, Ferelden.

But enough of that, it hardly matters, not when he walks over the next hill just in time to see someone leaping like a grasshopper up an erratic series of boulders; not an easy feat, unless you had the Force to propel you along.

"...Anakin?" Even if altruism and the Force weren't prompting Obi-Wan into action, he'd have broken into a run, once he recognized who it was, "What in the world are--"

And then the bear came around the curve of the boulder, huffing an annoyed, moaning roar.

"--Ah."
