↠ BASIC INFO
Character: Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)
Info Page: Click
Recent Open Post(s): Shiny brand new post!
Elevator Pitch: Bookish magic-using rifter who's far too clever for her own good and hates bullies. Follows rules to the letter unless the rules are dumb; then she makes up her own rules and usually ends up kicking someone's ass in the process.

↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: Mostly just the Western Approach, Emprise du Lion, and the plains surrounding Skyhold. And the Fade, but she doesn't like talking about that. She likes staying in Skyhold. There are no demons in Skyhold (as far as she knows).
What They Do: She's a research assistant for Adelaide. She might as well be, since she spends most of her time researching anyway. She's spent most of her time recently focusing on the various classes she's been taking, though she's wary of using too much magic given that her wand is wonky and staves aren't comfortable.
Who They Know: Harry Potter is her bff and she probably doesn't let him stay out of her sight for too long, because Harry's enough of a trouble magnet in their own world. But before he showed up, she's managed to become close to Korrin, Anders, Kirk, Jamie, Sam, Iskandar, and a few others here and there. Feel free to assume your character has seen her around the library or in various classes and has formed some kind of opinion on her know-it-all demeanor (even if it's a little more subdued here than in canon because she actually doesn't know it all when it comes to Thedas).
What They've Been Up To: Honestly? I've failed the past couple of months and she hasn't been up to a lot, but I'm hoping to change that. So insert vague "goes to class and reads lots of books and watches over Harry and avoiding the hell out of the Winter Palace" description here.

↠ HOPES & DREAMS
Plot Plans: I still need to stop being lazy and see about her eventually organizing a trip to acquire dragon heartstring in an attempt to fix her wand. Harry's good at convincing her to go along with horrible ideas. I also want her to become better at physical fighting and stealth so she can feel more useful during delicate missions where she can't just fire off spells and hope for the best.
Development Goals: Ultimately, I'd like her to get over her fear of using magic here, and maybe become a little more hardened when it comes to making difficult choices while out on missions, because otherwise she's just not going to make it in Thedas for the long haul.
CR Wishlist: Put a weapon in her hand and help her figure out how to use it. Show her how to interact with Orlesians without losing her temper. Teach her something new that she's never thought to research before. Take her shopping. Make her laugh. Pick a fight. I'm seriously not at all picky and welcome all sorts of CR, whether positive or negative or neutral!

↠ MISC
What is an area of Dragon Age lore/history/whatever that you’d really like to learn more about?: I've always thought the way various cultures viewed magic was interesting, and I think that's something Hermione would be interested in as well. She's heard a bit about what the Qunari do to their mages and how the Dalish look at magic, but she'd definitely be interested in hearing about the Avvar's shamans, for instance, and how differently that culture views magic in comparison to most Andrastian cultures.
What's one piece of gossip (true or not) about your character that's floating around Skyhold?: Probably that she (along with other rifters) is just an exceedingly clever, cunning little demon, because how else can she have learned so much about the world around her in such a relatively short amount of time if she'd allegedly never heard of it before? It explains why she looks so young but has the maturity of someone much, much older.
Anything else: In light of the upcoming February plot:
