He makes a brief, amused noise at the remark on his generosity. "We're all in this together, in the Inquisition. Even if--especially if--you rifters didn't have a choice in the matter, you deserve all the help we can offer getting your feet." Earnest and uncomplicated--he genuinely believes what he's saying.

He pauses to run back through all of that in his head, and adds, "And I'm sure that made as much sense to you as Serah Niehaus explaining what she does makes to me, so where should I begin explaining?"
