Haelan makes a dismissive noise, and shrugs. "He'll have to get over it at some point." After all, it's not like Kirkwall's docks aren't full of rich merchants. He'd been lucky at the time, but he wasn't about to admit that. Or that he'd spent pretty much all of the loot from that one already, apart from a few coins he'd stashed away.

He knows he should be more careful. He knows it, but even careful pickpockets end up smears on the sidewalks. He wasn't expecting to escape from the guards and straight into the arms of someone like Prickles. Luckily enough, Adasse always has his back, appearing out of nowhere to save the day. Haelan often wonders how he does it- but it's probably an elf thing.

"Everyone in the Hanged Man loves me!" He protests, nudging at his friend. And while that's not exactly a lie... it's not completely the truth. They don't give him credit, but they don't kick him out. Much.

"And yeah, I'm buying. That's what I was suggesting." He adds, although he's smart enough not to say anything about the coins he pilfered that morning, not in Darktown anyway. "As I suppose you helped me with that prat."

They walk on for a moment, in the smelly, dank shadows of Darktown, before something that has been bothering Haelan gets voiced.

"Why were you tracking me from Lowtown?"
