"It wasn't my intention to imply that you couldn't," Klaus amended hastily. He was torn between relief, and agonizing over the next flood of questions.

"If you've not noticed my absence, then by some miracle, it seems time moves a bit differently here than back home. Thank god."

He exhaled, the tension draining a bit from his shoulders.

"I promise I've been keeping well. You say you've been here a week already - I know adjusting cannot be easy, but have you been holding up alright otherwise?"
