Elevator Pitch: Anders is a formerly possessed mage who is slowly healing from the possession and years of abuse both. He's also a criminal, having destroyed the Chantry in DA2 in a last-ditch effort to give the Kirkwall mages a chance to fight back against planned slaughter. Inexperience with politics and a deep passion for freedom and no mage being hurt again or caged again do not always mix well and he can get carried away, but his heart is in the right place now, at least.

Building a PC mage network in the game. He has a small resolutionist network spread across Thedas (available for help with plots if needed) but a group building something separate from Chantry is his fondest hope. And if he's being even more optimistic, separate from Templars too.

Drinking/gossip buddies he can just stop and breathe with.

People who will butt heads with him and not just write him off. Even better if there's mutual challenging going on.
