how did i not see this before adalia is ripe for manipulating, and i would love to explore what a betrayal like atticus' eventual turn would do to her, particularly if he was encouraging her to listen to her more dickish instincts. she wants so incredibly badly to belong somewhere, it'd be cake for someone canny enough to use that against her. she's also painfully genuine and earnest, so he might Feel Things he'd rather not, too!
