He isn't entirely certain why he was chosen either, as someone with a clear Tevinter accent, but Thor at least knows quality materials when he sees them. And he's smart enough to have worn something that looks passably Free Marcher and not a mage, embroidered tunic over loose pants and his hammer at his side, staff nowhere in sight.

"How much can things cost? I do not do a lot of my own shopping, we have servants for that, but I am certain we can find appropriate choices." Thor leans over to take another look at the list. "Parchment. Parchment cannot be too expensive. We have a lot of it at my estate. Look, it looks like this man over here sells it."

He nods in the direction of a nearby stall and heads over, greeting the man cheerfully and starting to look at the goods.
