It's the subtle ways her face changes that breaks his heart, that makes the grin on his face melt into something softer, something fonder. He can't help it, she's just adorable.

Molly's feet shift, weight moving from one leg to the other, and he moves closer throwing an arm over her shoulder and pulling her in close to him. He feels a jab in his chest; remembers the cold road dusted lightly with snow, the carts, how they had been so damn close to their missing friends. Molly frowns a little, pushing the memories aside as he presses his lips to the top of Jester's head.

"Of course," In a blink of an eye the smile is back, lighting up his face, "You're strong, beautiful, and incredibly smart. There's nothing you can't do when you put your mind to it."

Another kiss to the top of her head, as one hand cards gently through her loose hair. She'll make it, he thinks, she has to make it. They all do.
