Ellie wishes she were flying, or even riding instead of this crap. Griffons are head and shoulders above this nonsense, but she'll take a horse.

"Uh, probably kinda similar to yours but without superheroes," she says with a shrug. "There was a brain-eating fungus that normally went after ants? But in 2013 it mutated to infect humans. It spreads through bites. Hollows you out, turns you into a monster who tries to tear things apart and eat them. Most of humanity died or got infected."
Ellie shifts to put her bow in between her knees, jogging one leg.
"It's been a quarter-century or something since then. I grew up in a Quarantine Zone in Boston. Left as a teenager. So... this place kind of seems like a vacation."
