She flexes her hands, warmth and relief returning on account of Nina's efforts. She rather likes keeping all her fingers and toes intact, and a Heartrender will always do a better job of that than her attempts to hold light. Too little and it does nothing. Too much and you risk singing off your fingers rather than have them break off due to frostbite.

"Hm?" Alina looks up, brows furrowed not entirely following. She blames the lag on being doused with the icy swell. Oh!

"Oh no," she smiles wryly, happy to have a friend if nothing else. "Just being cautious."

A pause, "Why? Is there anyone that's been bothering you?"

Not that Alina thinks Nina can't handle herself but it's always good to be alert.
