Things have changed since Loki was last here. War has come to Kirkwall's shores a great deal more directly than he recalls being true before, and the evidence is everywhere. In the construction, in the voices of the people wandering around town going about their various flavors of business. In the cost of goods, certainly.
Was that man always the ferry master? Loki's not sure.
Anyway.
Kirkwall has changed. The war wages on. And Loki is here, again, trying to get his bearings.
Feel free to come across him in the library, reading... fiction, history, bawdy romances, or the occasional religious text. Alternatively, asleep in the corner, an open book on the table underneath his head.
Find him in the baths, definitely asleep, possibly sputtering awake at this very moment because he managed to dip beneath the surface of the water and he is not amphibious, despite whatever else Loki may be.
Find him on the ferry. Curled up in a corner and glowering at the water.
Find him in one of the seediest taverns in Kirkwall near Lowtown, more or less oblivious to the bar brawl breaking out at the table behind him because he's, what? You guessed it. Struggling to keep his eyes open. Despite the current volume in the place (and the drink in front of him), Loki's head keeps nodding and his eyes continue to unfocus.
iv. send a message (via crystal)
[ It's some ungodly hour, between half past midnight and four in the AM, when this quiet message rings out over the crystals. Dawn is an idea but not quite a reality, not yet.
For those who remember Loki, his voice has not changed at all (except for the fact that he sounds more exhausted than cocky). For those who weren't around, he sounds pretty Tevinter or British, depending on one's perspective. ]
The easy question would be "what are the popular sleep aids currently available" but, if I recall correctly [ the most tired little sigh goes here ] that wasn't necessarily helpful the last time I was in Kirkwall.
So, perhaps, instead: when you were younger. Before the war, if that was ever a time that existed for you, in particular... what did you do, when you couldn't sleep? When dreaming was a pratfall?
Alternatively, [ And here Loki makes an attempt to brighten up a bit ] what do you like to drink? What is your favorite beverage? Alcoholic or otherwise, of course. How complicated is it to make?
We can't have everything be about tragedy, now, can we?
