Still, when he sits down next to someone he recognizes as a member of Riftwatch at a Lowtown tavern, he can't help but gripe, without prelude: "I've never seen the appeal of dogs who can't walk very far before they need to be carried, but in a city like this one, it seems especially inhumane."
