The way Gwenaëlle's mouth curves at the edge when Wanda says I won't tell you when is—

well, she's right. Comforting is not the word. But maybe she'd undersold it, saying she hasn't got a problem with heights; the gleam in her eye looks more like excitement than unease. It is a very exciting prospect, and yes, it's very serious work that they do and she does, sincerely, take it very seriously ... but the same impulse had seen her launch herself physically off a griffon in the air, at least three times now, certain that it would be worth it.

(She keeps living through these choices, which really does nothing to discourage them.)

“Alright,” with a quick nod; it's perceptible, the moment when she decides to trust Wanda and deal with wherever that leads. When the decision is made, the rest is easy,

it's elegant, almost balletic, when she bolts into the fray. A shimmering shield emerges from her gauntleted hand, surrounding her as she moves, dodging a bolt of ice from a screaming despair demon and spinning as she moves not to lose her footing and fall.
