River picks up on the odd accent immediately and changes from Orlesian to Marcher. It's easy and fluid for him to return to his first language. However, he does drop his voice to a whisper to hide the change.

"Wine can be bought by the merchant on the other side of the square," River explains. "Materials for a charcuterie board by the merchant just inside the door right over there. However, company is something I can certainly provide."

He's never seen her before, so he assumes she's a rifter.

"New here?" he asks.
