He might just have that hunch given the way she screamed in horror when she saw him bring an axe down on the bear's head. She hadn't exactly taken her new companion for the non-violent sort, but she hadn't expected him to strike what should have been a fatal blow when she'd purposely just tried to keep the other animal immobile until they could get away and it could calm down.

But then... that didn't look like a fatal blow, considering that the bear only staggered.

Oh. Apparently, bears are much hardier than she'd realized.

Feeling a bit sick, she absently tossed a much weaker Freezing Spell at the injured bear, not wanting either of them to give chase right away but also not wanting them to freeze or starve to death. Her legs felt a bit weak, but she still turned and managed to at least sprint in the direction pointed out to her, though it was anyone's guess as to how long it would be before she either collapsed or retched. Hopefully, she wouldn't do both at the same time.
