"You're one of them who came from the rifts, aren't you," she guessed, still unsmiling but not entirely unkind, "aye, there's a small trading village not too far from here, and Redcliffe, though the times have been rough on them and I've heard tell the mage revolt is in full force there." She watched Hermione build the fire in whatever way she chose, not interrupting unless it appeared the girl needed help.
