Cyril had been joking, and he's pleased to see that she has to work to not crack a smile. "We are, but we're a very old one," he explains.

Then he thinks about what she's saying. "I think you're wrong in assuming the Fade is evil. There are demons there, but not all spirits are evil. That and I'm not entirely sure that's where we go when we die. It's just where spirits are. They aren't bad or good. They just... are." Then again, he was no expert.
