Elevator Pitch: Victor of the 60th Hunger Games. Traumatized but pretty good at not making it obvious. Will probably act kind of cool and distant when you first meet her, but underneath she's actually a really nice person. When she's not in the Capitol trying to keep her tributes alive, she's a professional-quality dressmaker. Her app has the whole story.
Where They've Been: As yet? Nowhere but Panem. Let's just say she wouldn't recommend it highly as a vacation destination.
Typical Day: Once she gets over thinking this entire business is a trick of the Capitol's? She's probably going to hang around the garden, the library, and anywhere she can find with enough space to sit down and do some sewing or embroidery.
Plot Interests: Lacey doesn't really lend herself well to action — by which I mean she won the Hunger Games and killed two people, but it kind of fucked her up and the notion of having to fight anyone makes her really nervous. Exploration will interest her, and while she doesn't like political stuff per se, it's also something she's comfortable with doing after having to deal with Capitol high society. In general I'd love to just kind of toss her at plots and see what happens. Her instinct will be to hide in Skyhold and avoid everyone for a while, but she's also not one to just sit on her ass. Anything she can do to be generally useful (who needs their clothes mended? come on guys) will also help. And! She won't be initially inclined to trust anyone in the Inquisition, especially the folks in charge, just as a general rule, because authority is not nice where she comes from. So if someone can convince her that the Inquisition is dedicated to putting the world right and protecting the innocent, she'd feel a lot more at ease.
CR Interests: Since 'anything and everything' isn't a real answer — I'd love for her to get to talking with folks native to Thedas and learning more about the world. She needs friends badly, but isn't really good at making them because so much of her social life (if you can even call it that) back home is contrived and superficial, and also because getting close to people has always meant putting their lives at risk and she doesn't want to do that. As an aside: at first, she's kind of going to assume that people from non-human races, but especially elves and qunari, are just Capitol people who've been cosmetically altered. Dwarves are just small humans right? So yeah it will be entertaining for her to find out that yes there are actually people here who are not human and that's a thing.

I have two characters that I can put all over her. Scipio is a native OC and ""warden"' who cheerfully lies and exaggerates a lot and will be briefly disguised as the manservant to a duke for a con. this is confusing. point being, he would be great for teaching her about Thedas! also please sew for him. he needs some cool clothes fit for a duke. like tomorrow.

in contrast, Bellamy is a Templar and an AU from the 100 and he's done a lot of desperate acts so he'd sympathize with that part at least. but he doesn't trust rifters and he can be kind of a dick about it.

Elevator Pitch: Optimistic and cheerful, sassy troll elf princeling, loyal to a fault when you befriend him, with long fuse unless you threaten his friends then it's an instant explosion. Confident, proud, easy-going, curious and blunt, you know all that. Friendly and rewards friendliness with friendliness, kindness with kindness, etc, but if you're a dick, he'll be a haughty dick in return. :>
Where They've Been: The Dales where the rifters have been tossed, and now probs the Skyhold.
Typical Day: TO BE ANNOUNCED... but he'll likely be heading out a lot into the surrounding forests, hang out in the garden, or archery range and what not.
Plot Interests: He won't be very happy with the Inquisition, most likely, and he won't be swearing any oaths. He should be told about Galadriel and what happened to her, that she was arrested and for what exactly. :> For a bit there, he'll just be exploring the keep, learning as much as he can (from people!) and also exploring the surrounding areas and maps in general. That's as much as I have planned, so far, anything else? Well, he really lends himself best to action-y plots, but boy I'd be down for intrigues and plotting behind the Inquisition's backs and all that. I'd love to get him involved with the Civil War plot going on, if that's still possible. I'd also love for him to get a first-hand taste of the human attitude towards elves...

And also get in trouble, in general.
CR Interests: He's a damn good archer, and he'll hang out at the archery range, so that's one: either people to challenge him, people to talk about archery with, or people to teach! He's an elf that's not a Thedas elf, so that's another, and it's probably obvious at a first glance: other elves!! To tell him about the history of Thedas elves and what not. Fellow hunters to hunt with, maybe, someone to drink good wine with...

Right now I'm looking for a good mix of positive and negative CR, with perhaps a little more of the positive haha though in most cases I'd rather play out the first meeting, since it's never really obvious just how well that goes and what the first impressions are going to be.

Character: Gwenaëlle Vauquelin
Occupation/Role: Newly arrived civilian
A/R/N/M: 22 / elfblooded human / Orlesian / not a mage.

Elevator Pitch: Gwenaëlle is the Comte Vauquelin's only (recognised, legitimate) child and heir, known mostly in Halamshiral and the Imperial court for being pretty and difficult, trying to favour her reserved mother the late Comtesse rather than the egregiously charming Comte who dotes on her outrageously. She looked to her father for what she wanted, and her mother for what was expected of her, and neither of them were that great at parenting. Also, secretly elfblooded and super fucked up about it! And a poet, publishing under the name Ilde Sauvageon - her poetry is often sexual but rarely sexy, frank, sharply witty and confrontational in style.

Where They've Been: Gwenaëlle is from Halamshiral! She's spent much of her life traveling between her home in the High Quarter, the Vauquelin estate, and Val Royeaux (where she typically stays with the Leblancs); also "wherever the Imperial Court is currently". She enjoys the retreat to the Winter Palace because it's convenient for her.

Typical Day: She has only just arrived, and is figuring out what a day for her is going to look like - at the moment it's settling in (she has a lady's maid, Katell, who is doing the lion's share of the practicalities on that front) and figuring out the dynamics and where she might be able to find herself a niche. There will be a lot of reading in her rooms; there will also be a lot of exploring and peering into places and trying to get the lay of the land.

Plot Interests: Eventually, her maid is going to decide she'd rather work for the Inquisition than the Vauquelins and be replaced by Guenievre Baudin, a bit of a downgrade for the Vauquelins' housekeeper but not a completely terrible gig for Gwenaëlle's birth mother, who is not thrilled about her only surviving child having been sent to the arse end of Ferelden. I'm angling for Gwenaëlle to eventually get the rift shield powers and manifest 'em defending her mama, in some hella awkward turn around on her frequently insinuated prejudice against elves and indifference to servants. Besides "eventually getting punched in the face by Sabine", this is my only real firm plan and I'm pretty vague on the specifics beyond it'd be interesting to develop CR first. I love CR, give me all of it.

CR Interests: I am anticipating a solid chunk negative CR because she is an Orlesian noblewoman with all that entails + then some (and specifically has a lot of issues w/ elves which will be demonstrated in subtle and less subtle ways) - but I'd also be very interested in some unlikely friendships and Gwenaëlle slowly growing as a person, reexamining her long held beliefs and maybe figuring out where she could stand in all this. People who can handle the fact she actually becomes more of a bitchy pitviper when you're her friend and she feels she can get away with it because you love her should form an orderly line here, pls. Her affection is full of claws but she is very cute!!! She grows on you. Like angry mold.

Anything Else: Aleron is her second cousin by marriage and he's so embarrassing. She has an uncle who was an Enchanter in Orlais - who traveled for his research - that Orlesian mages might be familiar with, Gervais Vauquelin, the younger son of her father's generation and a very kind, quiet man married to his work. Her dangerously charismatic father has probably hit on (or slept with) every beautiful noblewoman above the age of 25 who came within his sphere of influence. Nice to at least not bang women your daughter's age, dudebro.

Plot Interests: Just getting her settled in at the moment, but I'd love for her to work towards recruiting more PCs to being in the Friends of Red Jenny.
CR Interests: She has big issues with elfy-elves (hi Dalish) so having her interact with any kind of non-City elf is always fun. But people to be pranked/prank with her are loved, as is literally anything else.

Elevator Pitch: old, old elvenking who likes wine and elves. he's witty, and fairly charming when he chooses to be. current circumstances are going to require him to be very social indeed!

however, he is also very proud, and remembers slights against himself or his kith and kin. he's from the books with a touch of the movies, so he's more 'long will i tarry ere i begin this war for gold' than 'i've come to reclaim something of mine.'

Where They've Been: arrived in the dales with the latest group of rifters, and then trekked to skyhold.

Typical Day: has probably obtained a room for himself and his son, though approaching him there- especially while he sleeps, which is new to him- is going to end poorly, especially if you're not an elf. otherwise, he can be found in the library, or along the ramparts, staring out creepily over the mountains.

Plot Interests: ELF RIGHTS but seriously, elf rights. he doesn't have any irons in the fire right now but he's going to hit the ground running. this is either going to end with him in hot water or well.

he doesn't give a damn about mages, unless they're elves. humans can do whatever they want to one another.

CR Interests: GIVE ME ALL THE ELVES i intend for him to be on a first name basis with all of them. tell him about shartan. feed him dalish treats. let him pet a halla.

he needs to find out about galadriel and the oath-swearing for rifters asap, at least a day or two before cassandra approaches him about that. that cr is priority numero uno right now.

Occupation/Role: Smuggler/Trader
A/R/N/M: 22, Human, Orlesian/Rivaini, not a mage.
Elevator Pitch: Mentally unstable Orlesian noble for a dad, Rivaini mother (now deceased). Balthier basically ran away from home... by stealing a ship from one of his father's friends, creating a fake persona and name for himself and becoming a pirate.

So, why would you ever leave such an amazing life? Well, currently, Balthier is broke, his ship is at the bottom of the sea (because of a rift), so he's hoping to use the popularity of the Inquisition to make some money. How? By doing what he does best - getting things, hard to get things, possibly illegal things, for people at the right price. He can usually be found hanging around a tavern.

Where They've Been: He lived in Orlais until he was about 16. After leaving, he mostly stuck to Rivain ports and the Northern seas.

If you'd like to say he stole from your character/raided a shipment of their's or something, or maybe did a job for them, delivered goods, obtained goods, etc. I'd definitely be happy to hammer out details. He also looks a lot like his dad, who is fairly notorious for being a basket case Comte at this point, so if people want to squint and wonder about a possible relation they're free to do so.

Typical Day: He tends to hang out around the tavern or legitimate merchants. I think word would spread, especially among NPC merchants that Balthier has some good contacts and seems to be able to get rare or illegal things while keeping it all hush hush.

Plot Interests: Smuggling/illegal activity shenanigans. He's pretty desperate to make some money right now, so he won't be too choosy. Tavern fun and card games. Not so drunk shameless flirting. Treasure hunting or attempting to loot ancient ruins for shiny things.

CR Interests: People who will raise an eyebrow at his elusive non-answers regarding his past/where he's from. Happy with positive/negative/or suspicious CR. People to drink with. People to flirt with, whether they appreciate it or not. Um... all the things honestly.

Elevator Pitch: City elf a long way from her alienage. Eirlys is used to keeping to herself, expecting to be treated as badly by humans as she has been all her life. She is kind hearted and values her role as a healer above all else. She had great pride in belonging to the Inquisition, but now she's beginning to question whether they're really benefiting her people or whether their task of restoring order will mean their oppression continues.

Where They've Been: Eirlys is from Gwaren's elven alienage and travelled to the Conclave with her former employer, who was then killed by demons. She stayed at Skyhold for about a month, travelling to the Fallow Mire, before being sent to Redcliffe. She then returned to Gwaren for several months and has just now returned to Skyhold. She doesn't know much of the rest of Thedas.

Typical Day: Eirlys has resumed sleeping in a corner of the kitchen and will need a proper space to call her own. On a typical day she can be found in the courtyard tending to the wounded. She tries to keep away from places like the tavern where she's likely to encounter large groups of rowdy humans. She also spends time at the Andrastian chapel, though she's keeping up her devotions mostly to keep some part of her daily routine and privately she's beginning to question her faith.

Plot Interests: Eirlys is returning to Skyhold a little more jaded than before, and will want to try to speak to those in charge to see what can be done to help alienage elves, having realised that this really isn't a priority for the Inquisition. Otherwise I'm just looking at getting her settled back in right now.

CR Interests: For specific hooks, she wants desperately to learn to read but is embarrassed about not being able to, so it will be difficult for her to set aside her pride and ask someone to teach her, but she wants to learn. She also wants to learn how to defend herself. On the other hand, I think it would be a real self esteem boost to her to be able to teach what she knows of herbal remedies and disease prevention to others, especially as she has felt somewhat superfluous when at Skyhold before with magical healers able to do the job more efficiently than she can. In terms of more general CR, I'd love for her to learn more about the history of her people and want all the elf CR. She has a deathly fear of demons so learning more about spirits would be interesting. Culture swaps with those from other parts of Thedas. Anyone who needs a maternal/big sister figure to look after them. People from all over the political and theological spectrum because political/philosophical debates around this setting are my jam. Negative CR from bureaucratic types or those who look down on her as an alienage elf. tl;dr anything and everything, come at me!

If your character had to be handcuffed to someone for a while who would they pick? Someone with riveting stories to make the time go quicker, or someone with good lockpicking skills to get out of those handcuffs.

Elevator Pitch: No nonsense guard captain. She's loyal and strong and looks good naked. Might come off as a total hard ass but she's got a soft side.

Where They've Been: Born in Orlais but after shit went down, her father was forced to flee to Ferelden with her where she spent most of her life. Formerly in the army and survivor of Ostagar, she barely escaped with her life. Met Hawke, lost her husband and made it to Kirkwall. Been there ever since and is a public figure there after being promoted to guard captain within her first year. About four years back had a three week honeymoon in Orlais but no other travelling.

Typical Day: right now, nothing yet as I have yet to actually intro her icly but probably the forge, the training field, the garden. You might see her hounding people.

Plot Interests: right now, getting to skyhold and settled. But Aveline lends herself well to combat situations and just being there for anyone who has need of her.

CR Interests: I really enjoy bouncing her off troll characters or people who take little seriously. Maybe ones that deal with less than favorable means of getting shit done. Native to Thedas or no. On the other hand, other military types, warriors, people who are for the law are great she'll probably love them.
