Occupation/Role: Rifter/Inquisition member/fighter/piper even though there's no such thing here really he's still a piper at heart
A/R/N/M: 25/Human/Scottish/not really a mage but the mark makes things weird
Elevator Pitch: A former time-traveling Scot (complete with kilt) who's now adjusting to his new life in Thedas, fighting demons and closing rifts with the glowing mark that's wound up embedded in his hand. Impulsive, brave, not afraid to make his opinions known, but loyal to his friends and willing to do quite a lot for them.
Where They've Been: So far he has been around Haven, Skyhold, the Fallow Mire, just east of the Emerald Graves, Emprise du Lion, Western Approach, and the Hinterlands. Currently he's in Halamshiral and learning just how ...interesting...that can be.
Typical Day: Still sleeping in the stables for the most part, although he's almost finished fixing up one of the smaller broken down rooms with plans on moving in there (possibly with a roommate). Can fall asleep anywhere, however, and if the stables are in use for other reasons he'll go find a chair somewhere if he needs to. Can also be found training or practising on a strange device he calls a practice chanter - and occasionally he'll disappear for a bit to find a nice remote spot to practice his pipes as well. Also can be found in the tavern or trying to convince the cooks in the kitchens to give him a snack, or hanging around Kallian.
Plot Interests: Shard/rifter plot things are always welcome, along with...well, just about anything other than politics. Exploration and adventures always a bonus, but he'd be fine with learning how to control his shard so he doesn't wind up shooting someone accidentally (unless someone does want to be terrible and have this happen, of course).
CR Interests: Action-y CR, friendly CR, negative CR, closing rifts and doing missions - any or all of it is great, although he's not really a political sort of character so unless you want a to play with a really bored and restless Jamie that's a little more limited. I am all for skipping the preliminary intro meetings with people if you want to get to doing other things, and can always be reached on plurk or PM to plot stuff (feel free to add me if you want, too)

Hello Beth! I said I'd hitcha up here, so rolls right on in — Shino's a new rifter this round who could use some guidance/an idea of what life's like here/how does one green palm??? He's also a character built for more action and exploration and adventure than politics (politics both bore him and he doesn't shut his mouth so he reeeeally shouldn't be allowed to talk in politically delicate situations), so if anything like that would be fun for you, I'd love to set some CR in motion once they're both in the same area!

Yesssss, perfect. Jamie can tell him about all the terrible demons and wonky things the shards can do and they can go on Adventures! together (and possibly avoid political situations because between the two of them things probably will not end well). Plus it will be excellent to get to play with out again, so I am all for CR once they're in the same place again.

Occupation/Role: scholar, demolitions expert, designer of siege engines and other structures, zoologist, renaissance man about town. adventurer.
A/R/N/M: 27/human/Orlesian/not a mage (so sad)

Elevator Pitch: The disinherited son of the Mérovée de Foncé, Comte de Falaise sur la Mont, Val has spent the better part of his life studying and planning adventures with his friends for strictly academic purposes. He loves Orlesian wine, Orlesian women, and Orlesian song. The first one can have no exceptions, the last two, maybe some exceptions. His specialties are demolitions, destructive construction, aqueducts, rare creatures, casual cheerful racism, joke-telling, and kissing.

Where They've Been: He's been everywhere, man. Specifically tho: he grew up in Orlais, on his family holdings of la Mont south of Val Royeaux. At 12 he was furnished with an apartment and staff in Val Royeaux so he could study at the University. At 16 he started "slumming" in Val Royeaux, aka, he dressed himself and ate all his meals at high end taverns and lived with his friends. Then he and his friends traveled everywhere doing fieldwork. Most recently, they have fled Par Vollen. If your character has been in any of that everywhere, I am more than happy to assume some run-in.

Typical Day: Val lives in a non private room in Skyhold which he shares with Jehan. during the day, he requisitions parts of the library. Works hard, or hardly works. Hangs out having loud debates with Jehan in Orlesian in the tavern and drawing in helpless hapless bystanders to weigh in on the issue. Studies the architectural soundness of parts of Skyhold with the intent to add some cool marble stuff. Works on explosives. Explodes things. You know, scholarly stuff.

Plot Interests: still settling in a little but more established. if you want someone to sneer at you, here he is. if you're doing scholarly stuff, he's going to want to know about it and maybe disdain it a little (sorry). he wants to trick out Skyhold and make some repairs, so, that. AND he might run a mage beauty contest. because.

CR Interests:

- PRIOR CR. He's Orlesian nobility even if he's been disinherited for seven years now. the de Foncé family is known for its collection of fantastic mansions, its killer parties in the suburbs of Val Royeaux, its trained horses, and its fortune in precious gemstones, especially sapphires. Val, meanwhile, is known for laziness, explosions, womanizing, cleverness, and his predilection for setting off on Thedas-trotting adventures to avoid work. and to get cool stuff.
- SCHOLARS. He doesn't act it, but Val is very clever, and likes other clever people. Please don't get offended if he's a little snotty about how clever he is.
- APPRECIATORS. People to impress. People to laugh at his jokes.
- MAGES. Val loves mages. Loves 'em. He's not always respectful or sensitive, but he is genuine.
- QUNARI. Val also loves black powder, which he has been trying to replicate or mimic since age 14. He isn't (surprise!) very respectful, but he is deeply interested in this innovation, even if he's keeping it on the DL.
- NEGATIVE CR. Val is a little more offensive than his friends, in that he hardly cares who he offends or how. He enjoys a good fight. He enjoys being better than people. He's pretty sure elves are servants, but in a here-hold-my-coat-you-walking-hatstand kind of way.

Occupation/Role: "Templar"
A/R/N/M: 23, human, Marcher (Kaiten), not a mage.

Elevator Pitch: stubborn cute Templar hanging out with his mage friend but pretending not to care much about mages so people don't get suspicious. he's really bad about this and he very obviously cares deeply about mages and mage rights. what a good Templar. sarcastic and easily disillusioned, but also hugely loyal and arguably Good with a tendency to do seriously bad stuff when he has to. has very strong feelings about mages and blood mages pushed into doing blood magic. likes kids. hates the Avvar.

Where They've Been: Bellamy grew up around Kaiten and joined up with Kaiten's Templars when he was old enough. he weathered a brief period of disgrace within the Order when his sister was exposed as a mage who he'd been helping to keep secret. during the mage/templar war and after some weird assassination attempts and crazy Red Templar stuff, he took off with a group of apostates and some fellow Templars into the foothills of the Frostbacks, in Avvar territory. details on all of this are sketchy. that's a good thing.

Typical Day: camped just outside Skyhold but he comes in on the regular for food and stuff, because he's a terrible hunter. he still tries to hunt. he hangs out with other Templars on the very fringe but mostly Lone Wolfs it. absolutely participates in training drills and stuff though. hangs out in the tavern listening in on people's conversations. lately he's tended to make himself more useful and actually participated in things like hunting Red Templars and blood mages and stuff. he has a really cute dog.

Plot Interests: someday that whole blood magic slaughter of a whole village is going to be a huuuuge problem but I'm just laying down groundwork till then. in the meantime: uneasy alliances with Templars. investigating blood magic but not killing any mages and pretending he never participated in blood magic. he doesn't really like Rifters so I'd like him to have to hang out with Rifters for a challenge. killing demons! I want to write fight stuff. shittalking the Avvar, a little. if you like the Avvar, he'll tell you why you shouldn't. he also makes a really good prop in other people's quests and stuff, especially if it's got shit to do with downtrodden mages. he feels strongly about mages.

CR Interests: he makes a great pseudo big brother. he makes a great asshole bro dude. he makes great guilty faces when he makes a hard decision. I want him to have to be mean to mages but also defend mages. leave blood mages alone! I want other Templars to be cool so he can get into that a little more. also he is incredibly easy to sway to your side so if someone with less than pure motivations wants to win his trust and darkside him a little I would be super down. he's cute and not adverse to hookups. also he's kind of an asshole so the opportunity to be snarky would be welcome. NEGATIVE CR ALWAYS. also borderline negative. I like bickering. he hates the Avvar, have I mentioned how he feels about the Avvar. also Rifters since he is 100% conflicted on what they are and what to do with them.

Elevator Pitch: The Dalish liaison for the Inquisition is an elf from Clan Ashara. He tends to be friendly and flirty but can take things seriously when needed.
Where They've Been: Clan Ashara hails from the Free Marches so he hung around there. Then trekked to Skyhold with several of his Clan members. He also helped recapture Suledin Keep, hung out in the desert in the Western Approach, and was in the Fade. He mostly hangs out in Skyhold.
Typical Day: Cyril has a bedroom with his brother. He tends to wake up super early to get ready for the day. Then he hangs out in the courtyard selling traps and other trinkets. At the end of the day he hangs around the blacksmith to flirt with Sam, or is in the tavern. He tends to enjoy the company of other men during the night, but if they are anyone other than Sam or Taas he goes home before the night is over.
Plot Interests: Anything! Also since he's the Dalish liaison send me all of your Dalish plots. :D
CR Interests: Anything is good!
Desert Island Items: Kohl, kohl, and more kohl. Also probably fresh water and a bow to hunt, but mostly kohl.

Elevator Pitch: Felix is the son of the magister who attempted to enslave the free mages. He helped the Herald and Dorian defeat his father and then traveled with them to Haven. After Haven was attacked he came to Skyhold - his health was getting worse every day so he never managed the journey home. Instead of dying, he was made a Warden.
Where They've Been: He was born and raised in Tevinter. He went to the University of Orlais. Other than that, he hangs out in Skyhold.
Typical Day: Felix is still trying to learn how to fight so he can be more useful for the Wardens. He's not very good at it, so most of his day is filled with training.
Plot Interests: There is a heist happening soon. Still time to sign up!
CR Interests: Anything!
Desert Island Items: Boring stuff like water, a weapon, food, and maybe a book to read.
Anything Else: Nada

Occupation/Role: Currently unaffilated Rifter. She's still mainly trying to get her bearings.

Elevator Pitch: Cosima is a biologist (evo-devo!) who likes knowing how things work because science and also because she recently found out she's a clone.

Where They've Been: Cosima arrived through a rift two months ago (and change). She's been more less exclusively in or near Skyhold since, because she is neither physically nor mentally equipped to go on missions (yet).

Typical Day: She's had a handwavy place to sleep until now, but is moving into the barracks! (Hit me up if you want a PC roommate - I'd enjoy it.) During the day, finding her in the library is a good bet, but she's also just prone to wander. She's mainly trying to suss out whether a) there's a possibility of getting home and b) whether formally offering to join the Inquisition is worth doing as a Rifter, but she is also kind of starved for concrete Things To Do.

Plot Interests: She'll be in and around the healers' tents the first week of this month (In fact, she's got an open post!), and periodically thereafter; while her illness doesn't need to define any given relationship, it's definitely something I anticipate being a long-term part of her arc. I'd also like to eventually hook her in to having a stake in Thedas' politics/world state, but that's going to be a slow burn. (See also... she's not in Orlais at all this month, sorry!)

CR Interests: She's made a few friends, but more are great! I'd also love to continue gathering people to nerd out with (I see you, Anders). If you have thoughts, let me know! Maybe she'll have a nemesis?

Desert Island Items: Sat phone is probably cheating, huh? Assuming she's called on that one, she'd want a backup pair of glasses, a very nice tent, a book with survival instructions, cannabis seeds and a shit ton of matches.

Anything Else: HIT ME if you want Cosima in your life, even if we haven't talked before. I love new people and new plots.

Lex does not know this but thedosian swear does he want Cosima in his life. Fortunately I'm canon conversant and know that for him! He is a native AU so obvs he doesn't have all the. Technology mogul stuff, and even though the setting obviously limits what has practical application I would be sooo pleased if he could pick up like, literally anything.

They both spend a lot of time in the library & Lex actually donated books as part of joining the Inquisition, so maybe that's a thing there?

And if he joined fairly recently, she'd be in a position to pseudo-casually ask "Soooo why did you join up?" because hey, she might have a trust problem with large organizations now! I mean, no idea why.

Elevator Pitch: The tall mage that spends half his time at the forges, or at the tents (and other places too). Innocent and naive at times, though becoming more worldly experienced. Not easily offended, and tends to blush - a lot. Very much like a mabari hound, cute but fierce.

Where They've Been: Sam is from a small fishing town in Ferelden's Coastlands. Because of the Blight his family fled to Ostwick and Sam eventually ended up at the Circle there. He went to the Conclave, but skipped out on it to visit the village instead, which ended up saving his ass. Other than that he's been to Haven, Redcliffe, Emprise du Lion, Hinterlands, Storm Coast, Orleis, Western Approach, Skyhold - he's just been a lot of places by now.

Typical Day: Sam sleeps in a loft inside the armory, up a couple flights of stairs with James Kirk and two kittens. In the mornings he helps with lessons for the younger mages then spends his day either at the tents or training. In the evening, when there is work, he's often found in the armory. In general he's all over the place and isn't very hard to find him.

Plot Interests: Perhaps in the near future I'll flesh out a quest or something that takes Sam and a group to the Free Marches where he goes to meet what's left of his family. Might have pirates.

CR Interests: I'm pretty much open for anything really. If you want it to happen we can make it happen. I'm looking for everything.

Desert Island Items: James Kirk because he has a knack for surviving shit. Clothes, water skin, rope.

Elevator Pitch: Pseudo-amnesiac rainbow colored space marine who really just wants the world to make sense for one god damn minute.
Where They've Been: He now ends up in any places Rifters pop up bc he's trying to establish himself as a rifterbro like that. Dicked around the Western Approach some.
Typical Day: Sleep is apparently a 'whatever, whenever' thing. Kitchen staff knows him well by now and somehow mostly tolerate his presence. He sometimes is a nerd in the library, trying to understand the world around him. Also practicing with his weapons bc look he wants to Make A Difference sort of but honestly should just focus on building shit instead.
Plot Interests: Nothing immediate planned for him. He'll probably crash your plots, though.
CR Interests: He's very good at gaining CR as my most social muse, and I love all of the CR. He could stand to use more negative CR given that he's a fucking asshole, but I also like that somehow a lot of people seem to at least be vaguely amused by him if not like him.
Desert Island Items: A pelican so he can fly out. :| ...A manual on how to fly and operate a pelican. His collection of music so he can jam out while he enjoys time without Caboose before he decides he's had enough alone time.

Elevator Pitch: Duster turned Carta turned Inquisition agent--the Warden (that Warden) and co killed her brother, she dicked off to the surface when she got sick and tired of getting treated as casteless, the Inquisition busted the Carta gang she was running with, and now she's kind of aimlessly here.
Where They've Been: Mostly only travels where the Inquisition needs, mostly around Western Approach, is from Orzammar, has been in and around the Hinterlands and a dash of otherwise Ferelden.
Typical Day: She's found basically everything with locks in Skyhold and could def use a little more something to interest her. She could sleep in dirt and probably be fine. Training on dummies to be better at cool flips and tricks and shit. Helps out with training bitty rogues for Zevran.
Plot Interests: She might end up joining the Kestrals orrrr otherwise should get into it with someone re Wardens. She lost one that she cared about and it's really complicated feelings now. She needs to get on over that. Aimless dwarf needs aim basically.
CR Interests: All CR is good CR
Desert Island Items: Her blades!!! Clothes?? Armor? She is bad at this game why would she be on an island what did a ship run aground does the ship not have supplies are there animals on the island are there natives how big is this island--

Elevator Pitch: Military tactician with issues regarding perfectionism and needing approval, please let this man know he is good and loved, Seeker of complicated feelings regarding the Chantry and mages
Where They've Been: From the Bannorn in Ferelden, spent much of his 20's/early 30's with the Seekers in Orlais (and has come to understand the language and can affect a half-decent accent), has literally been All Over save for Tevinter, Orzammar, and Qunari lands
Typical Day: Chapel, training, library, chilling by himself somewhere, around Cassandra's office, sometimes the kitchens, around checking in on people he is the mom friend
Plot Interests: Nothing major; he's had himself some side plot that he needs to sort his shit out about. He's def on about Templar stuff and keeping an eye on mage stuff though.
CR Interests: He's an awkward socially shy soul bless him but he's hella polite even when he's annoyed so don't be afraid to want cr with him I will make it happen.
Desert Island Items: He insists that he would never be stuck on a desert island in the first place, no, that just would not happen. What, no, this is a stupid game.
