Tyrion's shouting earns him some attention, from two sources no less. The first is a large mabari with kaddis, taking advantage of its greater speed to distract and harass the bear for a moment, then he hops onto the large rock beside the dwarf, guarding him. That happens because his companion catches up, a slight, pale elf woman in armor.

"Hey! Over here!" She throws a barrier spell over the dwarf and her mabari, just in case, then raises her staff to do what she does best. A ring of ice sprouts up from below, quickly surrounding the bear and holding it fast.
