Elevator Pitch: Fern is an elven apostate, a child during the Fifth Blight who has grown up on farms from Denerim to Ansburg, and is desperate for adventure. Both a bit precocious and sweet-natured, she's young and still trying to find her footing in a world that is very different from her farm back home. More than anything else in the world, she dreams of joining the Grey Wardens--and is struggling to figure out what to do with herself now that it looks as though that dream won't come to fruition.

↠ CR DESIRES

Fern is a character who would do very well with both negative and positive CR! She's very mistrustful of humans, given her earliest memories of them involve being abandoned by the human farmer who employed her parents during the Fifth Blight. However, she's learning that individual humans don't suck so badly (even though on the whole she still believes all shems are trash).

She's very self-conscious about her ignorance about her people's heritage and culture, and curious about the Dalish. Now that she knows a little bit more about it, she's beginning to form Opinions about things.

She is a baby gay (well, baby bi) who is only just realizing that other people in the world might also be gay/bi, and this is a magical revelation to her. However, the first person she's ever developed real feelings for is also dying rather horribly right now (thanks Sina), so while it would be lovely for her to move on and find love again, it will inevitably be slow-burn. I'm still down for it tho, so ping me if you're interested!

She won't chase chickens but if you absolutely need her to round up a sheep or two, she'll do it.
