Elevator Pitch: pretty sure y'all all know who Loghain is if you're joining this game. The former Hero of River Dane turned Traitor Teyrn turned Grey Warden, perhaps the most divisive figure in recent Fereldan history, who has come to Kirkwall after the fallout of Warden-Commander Clarel's actions and the coup at Weisshaupt. He isn't looking to atone--who can possibly atone for what he's done?--but that his actions are unforgivable doesn't mean he shouldn't put his back into the work of saving the world anyway.

Anyone with a chip on their shoulder about Ostagar is welcome to have at him; he deserves it.

Similarly, if your character was one of the soldiers his order to retreat saved, he might welcome someone who doesn't instantaneously hate him in his life, ftr.

Darkspawn, red lyrium, blighted things, Grey Warden adventures, etc. He's down for it.

Grudgingly accepting authority and responsibility when it is handed to him.

Calling him out on his not so subtle infatuation with Maric Theirin.

Acting like the dad we all know he is.

Kit Gandir

Character: Kithan "Kit" Gandir (Original Dragon Age character)

Recent Open Post(s): Haven't posted one for him this month, hmu next month tho.
Elevator Pitch: Kit is a casteless dwarf, as well as a member of the Legion of the Dead; these are his two defining characteristics, and they inform just about every decision he makes, as well as how he sees the world. During the Fifth Blight, he came to the surface with the other Legionnaires to help the Grey Wardens retake Denerim, and more or less didn't go back.

↠ CR DESIRES

Want to have someone in your life who seems overly dedicated to helping you fix your problems and help you out of many sundry tight spots, only to suddenly vanish the second you try to get to know him better? Kit's your guy.

More dwarf stuff of all varieties. More stuff with darkspawn and the Deep Roads.

Long-term I would like for Kit to grapple with how deeply he has internalized the tenets of the Legion of the Dead; however, it is unlikely that he will ever fully stop viewing himself as someone for whom a grisly death is both desirable and inevitable.

I'm down for any and all kinds of CR, both positive and negative, though negative CR has been rather rare for Kit seeing as he's a pretty easy-going guy who manages to get along with most people. He's also shortly going to be available for making bad romantic decisions again, but long-term romance CR will kind of inevitably end in tragedy for him, so if that's something you're cool with, let's talk. (Kit's v. gay tho ftr)

If your character is in Distress of some kind, Kit's probably going to try to Fix It.

Playing cards and gambling is his fave, so let's do it.

One piece of gossip (true or not) about your character: some kids in Darktown may or may not be referring to him as the Dead Skull, dwarven avenger who stalks the night protecting the innocent from demons and spirits, in the company of the Painted Blade. (kit just like u would also flip out if u found a dead body in ur wall ok)

All the Kit and Yngvi stuff we've discussed but I'd like him and Araceli to hang out more too? I've really enjoyed their thread and she doesn't know any dwarves (since I play the other one in game just now) and since they're project heads etc they could catch-up and chat/share information over drinks.

we may want to handwave it out at this point (tho you know me and backtagging, i'm totally happy to keep it going too) but the activity melys would offer to drag him out on would be feeding offal to the griffins if he wants to be bowled over by an enormous screeching catbird while she howls with laughter. this is only a little bit revenge.

Atticus Vedici

Elevator Pitch: Atticus is a Tevinter magister and Venatori enchanter currently held prisoner in the Gallows' dungeon, whose seems weirdly chill about being the prisoner of enemy forces. He's also a somniari, though this is a Big Secret and only a handful of people know about it IC (e.g. Petrana, Sina, perhaps the Medicine Seller). Atticus is your quintessential urbane antagonist-turned-ally-turned-arch nemesis (eventually), who delights in playing mind games and admires a good adversary.

↠ CR DESIRES

My ultimate desire for Atticus is for him to become a bad guy that everyone will love to see meet his end. I love negative CR for him, but I want that negative CR to be stuff that gives everyone who RPs with him something to help their own characters develop their personal arcs, to further their journeys within FR. Atticus is kind of his own force of nature, and I want what he does in-game to leave a lasting mark on the Inquisition, once he's been defeated.

He's not a two-dimensional mustache-twirling baddie, however, so I want the chance to explore what makes him human. His CR with Petrana helps with this tremendously but I'm always down for other ways to remind Atticus that he has inconvenient feelings.

I want for him to catch a Fade shard. \o/

I want his ultimate betrayal of the Inquisition to feel deeply personal to everyone who ever placed their trust in him.

So along that vein--are you interested in the Fade? Are you interested in the differences between Tevinter culture and the rest of Southern Thedas? Want to hash out your feelings about the Circles with a wily magister who will twist your words around you? Want an unlikely mentor who genuinely admires talented mages? He's your guy.

how did i not see this before adalia is ripe for manipulating, and i would love to explore what a betrayal like atticus' eventual turn would do to her, particularly if he was encouraging her to listen to her more dickish instincts. she wants so incredibly badly to belong somewhere, it'd be cake for someone canny enough to use that against her. she's also painfully genuine and earnest, so he might Feel Things he'd rather not, too!

I strongly suspect Atticus met his one (1) human feeling quota with Petra, HOWEVER, never say never!!

and yes I would very much love to see how this CR could go down, especially if he gets his way with his recent Venatori plots and the Inquisition loosens his shackles a bit

Fern Doirnáin

Elevator Pitch: Fern is an elven apostate, a child during the Fifth Blight who has grown up on farms from Denerim to Ansburg, and is desperate for adventure. Both a bit precocious and sweet-natured, she's young and still trying to find her footing in a world that is very different from her farm back home. More than anything else in the world, she dreams of joining the Grey Wardens--and is struggling to figure out what to do with herself now that it looks as though that dream won't come to fruition.

↠ CR DESIRES

Fern is a character who would do very well with both negative and positive CR! She's very mistrustful of humans, given her earliest memories of them involve being abandoned by the human farmer who employed her parents during the Fifth Blight. However, she's learning that individual humans don't suck so badly (even though on the whole she still believes all shems are trash).

She's very self-conscious about her ignorance about her people's heritage and culture, and curious about the Dalish. Now that she knows a little bit more about it, she's beginning to form Opinions about things.

She is a baby gay (well, baby bi) who is only just realizing that other people in the world might also be gay/bi, and this is a magical revelation to her. However, the first person she's ever developed real feelings for is also dying rather horribly right now (thanks Sina), so while it would be lovely for her to move on and find love again, it will inevitably be slow-burn. I'm still down for it tho, so ping me if you're interested!

She won't chase chickens but if you absolutely need her to round up a sheep or two, she'll do it.

also at some point she should meet wren, but i can't rly picture that being a super long thread atm so maybe let's table that until we find a goal where they both wouldn't just immediately be like "I SHOULD GO"
