It's hard to just forget all those years of being taught how dangerous a tool blood magic is, and it doesn't help that he's not aware of any uses for it that are actually 'good'. Please do try, Merril. Simon's a reasonable sort.

Character: Samwise Gamgee (Lord of the Rings)
Occupation/Role: Gardener, though not officially yet maybe?
A/R/N/M: 38/hobbit/hobbity/not mage.
Elevator Pitch: Slowly winning the Inquisition over with adorableness, one mage/templar/antisocial dwarf at a time.
Opinions: He's tired of people mistaking him for a dwarf (nb: don't stop mistaking him for a dwarf) but he's pro...most other things? With the possible exception of Tevinter and Orlais because they were Mean to the Elves (nb: he wouldn't know an Orlesian if he got smacked upside the head with one). He's a big fan of Elves and confused about why there are so many wizards around, but pretty ok with it. If you're mean to people or animals or plants or you happen to be a Dark Lord he probably won't be a fan.
Where They've Been: Sam fell out of a rift into the Fallow Mire and almost drowned. Since then he's been sticking pretty closely to Skyhold, mostly in the tavern/garden/kitchen.
Future Plans: I really have none, apart from shoving Sam at everyone who's interested, and need to figure something out! For the moment he's really just hanging out being a hobbit but I would like him to get out to the Western Approach and other similarly horrible places eventually. Oh! He should probably learn to read Thedas script at some point? And maybe learn to fight? He's got a fun size hobbit sword but no training, so a warrior teaching Sam how to swordfight would be ADORABLE you know you want it.
CR Desires: Elves, especially Elves who are nothing like elves in Middle-earth. Dwarves. Qunari. YOU. I'm good with negative and positive CR. Sam's canon point is just post-Lothlorien so he gets sad about Gandalf and/or worried about Frodo sometimes, but he's doing okay. Meeting new people is always great but I'd like to develop some of his existing relationships too, since I haven't really...done that...keeps tagging intro post forever.
Anything Else:

Lace Harding

Character: Lead Scout Lace Harding
Occupation/Role: Scouting, surprisingly. Also doubles as one of Leliana's key agents and is something of the scout mom to the rest of the scouts.
A/R/N/M: 24, dwarf, surfacer (at least third generation), non
Elevator Pitch: Local dwarf saves Inquisition scouts from bandits and draws them a map of the area, returns the next day to act as a guide, hired(?) as a scout within a week, still here.

Opinions: Harding is easygoing enough with basically everyone as long as they want to help the Inquisition. She's exhibits the stereotyped opinions the first time she meets something new, but she's moved past that with the influx of so many new people into the Inquisition's ranks. Politics are a necessity but her contribution to the various councils is to stick her head in the door and ask if everyone is alright and training dummies have been set up in the yard. Mages will always have a slight ??? after them though, because dwarf. Fade nonsense. She also wants to fight Corypheus and his evil minions.

Where They've Been: Spent the majority of her life just outside of Redcliffe in the Hinterlands, herding sheep for her neighbour, but more recently, pretty much most corners of Southern Thedas and probably a lot of Ferelden by this point. Or if she's not been there yet, she will be.

Future Plans: Most immediately, I'm going to do something for scout club before we all rush off to our latest destination! This'll be like the mage and templar councils, but without the politics bit, so it will be ALL ABOUT FUN. Or actually it'll be more about an archery contest and sign-ups and a general mingling session since we all need that to get to know each other, right??? It'll also make it easier for me to inflict here upon all the scouts in the Inquisition at present. I'd also like to do some stuff in relation to her kids (who are free to use as NPCs at leisure!) - going to try to do something in regards to her and Bruce and those rumours (which all are free to jump on), and for her to lead the Inquisition to wherever we're going...?

CR Desires: Any and all, EVERYTHING IS GOOD, GIVE ME DWARVES!! Give me scouts because I need her to know all of you, so if you'd like to handwave their introduction and how they ~feel~ about one another, shoot.

Character: Michel de Chevin (Dragon Age Inquisition)
Occupation/Role: As of now his singular purpose is Imshael, but he'll gladly pass reports about the going ons of the Red Templars in Emprise du Lion until he officially settles in then...he'll be happy with any sort of purpose.
A/R/N/M: 30-ish | Elf-blooded | Orlesian | Chevalier (So no, not a mage)
Elevator Pitch:Michel is a noble and honorable man, perhaps one of the few among the Chevalier who try to be as honorable as possible. He firmly believes in his honor as well given one of the codes of his order is "death before dishonor" so yeah. Michel is also the sort of individual who needs a purpose, he needs something to protect, he needs to use the skills he's worked hard to attain.
Opinions: What does your character think about mages? Other races? Religion? Politics? Who do you wanna fight?
Where They've Been: Michel has very vague opinions about Apostates, but he doesn't necessarily adhere to the idea that they belong in the circle. He is not a Templar after all, but he might be cautious of them. Coming from Orlais, there is a general opinion that the Qunari are inferior, it is likely that he does not share this opinion given that he did serve Celene and she was fairly enlightened in her world views. Dwarves as well, no real opinion either way. Elves and elf-blooded will probably see the greatest reaction from him as he is elf-blooded feigning nobility within the Chevalier order, he has spent many years pretending to be something that he is not and protecting that identity less he face execution or worse, dishonor. Poke too hard at him and he might drop the "knife-ear" bomb as a defense mechanism. Is he prejudiced against elves? No. Does he pretend to be so that the world can see the mask he has chosen to wear at the risk of betraying himself as a pretender and a fraud? Absolutely, it is part of his complex.
Future Plans: Michel's priority will be Imshael so any kind of plotty and adventurey kind of ideas that can be worked out with that and taking Suledin Keep. After that it's simply finding a comfortable place for him within the Inquisitio
CR Desires: He'll take all of the CR and it is possible to create some negative CR with him if you want to try it, any one who pokes around at his past and heritage will get the sharper end of his tongue, elves in particular. Dishonorable acts and messing around with Demons is also a good way to develop negative CR with him. It is hard and it would require developing enough of an interest in him to go digging around in his past. Incidentally he adores horses, particularly warhorses, and was very broken up over the loss of his own horse Cheritenne. Though anything really, warrior buddies? He is a spectacularly trained Chevalier an he would love to be a sparring partner to anyone interested. He does not drink, but he'll share company with those who do. Want his advice? Depending on the situation and who he is talking to (mainly with those he views as being above him he will consider it not his place to give advice), but ask him for his opinion or tease it out of him and he will gladly provide.
