In Wysteria's box, a wrapped pair of what seem like very old and tiny scissors, of the sort that would hang from a lady's chatelaine.

Nearly all the rust has been scoured away, and the blades themselves have been sharpened and oiled well. Ellie has signed her gift with a simple Always carry something sharp. -E

Overnight, the doors of any seventh-floor project offices and/or workrooms left unlocked, or otherwise unlockable by someone in Research/Felandaris (or someone who understands how simple latches and locks work and can open them anyway) (don't worry about it), are treated to any necessary brushing, filing, greasing, and polishing. All squeaky hinges, tricky latches, and sticky doors are corrected, and hardware is restored or replaced.

Viktor will not be physically present for the gift exchange.

At some point during the day, when Tony's office is unoccupied – because doing it overnight would be creepy – his door is given the seventh floor treatment. In particular, it no longer sticks.

The door to the living space is given a surface hardware polish and otherwise left alone.

At his workstation in the library, Viktor will find a small linen pouch tied with twine.

Inside is a very slightly dented on one side, but very clean and brightly polished pendant, meant to be worn around the neck. The chain is the right length to let the lens lay upon the pages of a book and magnify the words (or tiny, fiddly schematics) to be comfortably read by the wearer.

Yseult, Scouting

Members of Scouting will find in their pigeon holes a small bundle tied with a colored ribbon. Each contains a handsome pair of warm winter socks woven from the wool of some obscure Rivaini breed of extremely tall long-necked sheep, and a bottle of strong and somewhat bitter Antivan liqueur. The liqueurs come in a variety of flavors, from bracingly herbal to warmly spiced, oddly vegetal to almost pleasantly citrus, perhaps to encourage shared taste-testing. Each bundle includes a small paper tag that reads Happy Satinalia from the Scouting Division.

Mr. Head of the Division receives a cream-coloured pocket square, embroidered in three corners with a bright orange flower. In the fourth, there is an approximation of Whiskey the dog. It's clear that the crafter does not often attempt animals. The muzzle is wonky, but in a charming way.

Morning of, in their room, Petrana is handed a parcel containing two rather large fabricky items.

The first is a dressing gown made of a cream satin, with very full feathery sleeves and trim, patterned with light blue filigree-type designs across the shoulders and down the back, with a matching sash. It is by a matter of degrees more luxurious than her others.

The second appears to be a skirt of a stiff blue silk. When shaken out, it appears to be an ordinary silhouette, made full with custom petticoats, but on further inspection there are hidden panels and folds and buttons that allow it to be buttoned up for the purposes of riding. When worn down, it's perfectly respectable. There is probably an interlude where she has to try it on so Marcus can demonstrate on her how it works and it takes a minute.
