SATINALIA IX: DA4 EVE
HAPPY SATINALIA

'Twas the night before DA4, and all through the house, we found ourselves wondering, is a nug analogous to a mouse?
how to play:
1. tag with a toplevel for your characters. (possibly include division + projects for ease of identifying coworkers!)
2. reply to other's tags with what your character got theirs for satinalia.
3. rake in those approval or disapproval points. we support both friend- and rival- mances.
The writers were fired, Cullen’s VA got weird, ten years have passed, and most of us are still here.
So as our computers overheat, none of them upgraded since Inquisition, we say thanks to the mods, still here of their own volition.
Here’s to a near decade of waiting, roleplaying, and friends, through tags and logs and only a few dropped threads.
May we all enjoy Veil Guard, a Thedas unfamiliar and unknown, though ‘Fade Rift’ has the cooler name, if I may say so.

This is unfortunately charming, though, and will be given a place of honour: attached to ye olde fishing line with the tiniest dots of super glue so it appears to hover between shelves.

As a member of Research, Viktor will receive a small phial of brightly-coloured, liquid dye, easily deployed by unstoppering or smashing its bottle. It accompanies a request to test it on a member of Scouting or Forces this Satinalia. Results may be reported back to Isaac, Caius, or Gwenaelle for a small reward *
* isaac hasn't told anyone else that he said they'd give out rewards
Separately, and anonymously, a small bell has been surreptitiously attached to Viktor's crutch for ease of locating him. Ding-a-ling-a-ling.

But, the dye will be kept among his things for some as-yet-undetermined use, and the bell will go in his drawer of Little Stuff That Might Be Useful One Day, which is not the dismissive junk hole it sounds like, he actually has a mental catalogue of that stuff and digs through it often.

In addition, from her personally, Viktor receives a pair of ocean-smoothed rocks which she's paid someone to enchant to emit pleasant warmth, appropriate for carrying in pockets when it's cold outside and you need to keep your hands agile. They can't be used to light fires and won't burn skin, but should stay warm at least six months before needing re-enchantment.

And these rocks are everything—not only can he stay warm, but he gets to try recharging them himself, which will probably be fine.

And Viktor is deeply touched by the mobility add-on. It will be fitted to his auxiliary crutch, which generally sees more use than the one he brought from home, with a few adaptive quality-of-life adjustments to the design. He'll happily explain these if prompted to do so.

Viktor also receives a clipping from Bonheur’s plant; it doesn’t seem to be behaving particularly anomalous any longer, but it’s there for additional study.

Historically, he hasn't always been great with plants, but will try to keep this one alive For Science.

Some very lumpy home-made frosted pepperkaker in various festive shapes appear on Viktor’s desk. They’re warm and sweet and spicy: a little hotter than typical gingerbread cookies, with actual pepper in the recipe. They go great with coffee. Signed, YR SEKRIT SATINA ☺

It is impossible to overstate how badly he needed this. In retrospect, in some way, it may have influenced his decision to hand out all this marzipan.
