'Twas the night before DA4, and all through the house, we found ourselves wondering, is a nug analogous to a mouse?

 

The writers were fired, Cullen’s VA got weird, ten years have passed, and most of us are still here.

So as our computers overheat, none of them upgraded since Inquisition, we say thanks to the mods, still here of their own volition.

Here’s to a near decade of waiting, roleplaying, and friends, through tags and logs and only a few dropped threads.

May we all enjoy Veil Guard, a Thedas unfamiliar and unknown, though ‘Fade Rift’ has the cooler name, if I may say so.

how to play:

1. tag with a toplevel for your characters. (possibly include division + projects for ease of identifying coworkers!)
2. reply to other's tags with what your character got theirs for satinalia.
3. rake in those approval or disapproval points. we support both friend- and rival- mances.

Delivered by a grim faced Guilfoyle, bearing a sack of similar packages, Hermione receives a leather and silver holster for her wand, attached to but easy to remove from a matching belt with loops to attach other pouches or useful items to. Comes with a small pouch for her Riftwatch-supplied pocket lighter fire rune; this pouch has the Riftwatch forces sigil embroidered on by hand. (Note: the belt and holster are identifiably the same leather that Jayce's gift was made from, and might have been a late stage "do you have any off-cuts? I need something expedited" order after she'd decided she'd get something for Hermione.) Additionally: a pair of trousers in a dark red which is definitely a joke about not showing blood.

hermione gets to know who the paper fairy is due to roommate privileges—presented the morning of satinalia with great relish are two sheafs of paper, each bound with a leather cord. the paper is thicker and less uniform than commercially-made paper, but no less useful.

Hermione gets a bag, plain canvas, that has just...so many pockets. Lots and lots of pockets. The outside is lined with pockets with simple fasteners, four on each broad side. The inside has simple open pockets worked into the interior fabric, larger than the ones outside, only two per side. Clearly made for utility and not fashion. No note, only a small scrap of paper tied to it naming the giver M.

A nice set of brass knuckles. Just kidding. I mean, Clarisse does actually give this to her, but it's supposed to be a gag gift. The actual present is this bracelet she made.

(If Hermione asks what she's supposed to do with the brass knuckles now that the joke is over, Clarisse just shrugs.)

A second-hand copy of The Shape of the Fade by Enchanter Ephineas Aserathan, and a short treatise from a local mage on the use of magical foci like staves— or, say, wands.
