Character: Benevenuta Thevenet
Occupation/Role: Inquisition agent, researcher, member of the Mage Council
A/R/N/M: 30, human, Nevarran, mage.
Elevator Pitch: Benevenuta is ruthlessly brutal embodiment of the concept "good is not necessarily nice", while simultaneously somehow managing to be a very pleasant, generous, charming woman in absolute earnest. She is a zealot who has been raised to believe that it is her duty to leave the world better than she left it and that there is nothing that cannot be utilized, sacrificed or cannibalized in herself to achieve that goal. A born politician, she believes in seeking diplomatic and intellectual solutions - but if all else fails, sometimes the world is a better place because certain people are now fucking dead.
Where They've Been: She's from Nevarra City, and prior to joining the Inquisition had never been further from it than Nevarra's own borders - but as both a noblewoman and a Mortalitasi mage she was an active part of the Nevarran court with ties to Orlais and Ferelden, so it's not out of the question for her to have past CR with people moving in similar spheres of influence.
Typical Day: She can generally be found in the library or the vault where the Mage Council has been meeting, if she's in Skyhold; much of her time is taken up with research and work for the Council, and she does a fair amount of moving and shaking on their behalf and the Inquisitions. Often found in the company of Dorian Pavus, the Statler to her Waldorf.
Plot Interests: Over time I am looking at Benevenuta reconsidering her approach to her cause (and the Inquisition's), considering where she stands in relation to her goals and her mother's goals and what she's willing to do and not do where that's concerned. It's a bit of a slow burn that requires her to dig more into the Inquisition and her CR, so it's not like SUPER ACTIVE PLOT CONCEPT, but if intrigue and identity crises are your jam, maybe pursue this CR.
CR Interests: I am always happy to skip over 'what's your name' stuff and assume people are passingly familiar, ftr. Are you useful to the betterment of the world? Benevenuta is probably at least vaguely interested in your existence.
Character's greatest fear? Failure. Disappointing her mother. Disappointing herself.
Anything Else: Still incapable of wearing a gown that doesn't show off her sternum.
