Belle's Bros!
Contact:
Adelaide "Councilor of Common Sense" LeBlanc
Occupation/Role: Spirit Healer, Aequitarian Member of the Inquisition's Mage Council, Poultice/Potion Maker, Teacher
A/R/N/M: 36, Human, Orlesian, Mage
Elevator Pitch: Adelaide is an Orlesian Spirit Healer of a noble family with finite patience for fools, far too many injured to tend to, a small flock of apprentices and mages from The White Spire that have come to the Inquisition from Andoral's Reach along with her to mind, a wry demeanor and a heaping helping of PTSD courtesy of the events of Dragon Age: Asunder. She works hard to heal those that come to her, to continue the education of her wards, and to keep far from Templars if she can help it. If not, to remain civil. Since Arriving she's become a member of the Inquisition's Mage Council and is struggling with how to handle that in a balanced and civil manner. It is a work in progress. Being of a more moderate viewpoint means playing peacekeeper and urging compromise from both sides of the discussion- it's. Stressful.
Opinions: Mages are her people for better or for worse. She teaches those that come to her and remains infinitely frustrated with the violent outbursts from pockets of apostates. There is a better way to handle this, they are in a position to do BETTER than they have before and need to take the opportunity granted with both hands.
Templars are all but triggering for her due to the events in the white spire. They leave her frustrated and formal at best and outright hostile at worst. Her ability to extend the benefit of the doubt or any trust is slowly being rebuilt and for the sake of appearances and harmony, she's attempting to work with them. Attempting being the operative word.
The Chantry She used to believe in their laws and regulations but then- well. The spire. Now she thinks they're full of shit, all pretty words and empty promises.
Elves Some of her best students have been, as well as one mentor. They are no less capable and the inequality is baffling to her but she knows damn well it's not he place to say anything on it.
Dalish are impassioned, opinionated, and infuriating. She wants to work with them in the council, she truly does, but a way to do so without coming off as condescending isn't possible just yet.
Dwarves Make amazing things but she's never met one in person.
Qunari She knows more Vashoth than Qunari proper, but those she knows have left her with a positive opinion of them at least. Qunari that follow the Qun leave her wary for their treatment of mages.
Humans are stupid in large groups more often than not. Individuals are worth noting.
Politics give her a headache and yet she is now mired in them.
Rifters are as lost as the rest of them, doubly damned for the fact this isn't even their world.
Where They've Been: Raised in an Orlesian Noble Estate until her magic came about, Adele studied magic in The White Spire until the events of Dragon Age Asunder. Before that she'd be sent out to heal those that paid for her services with a guard, usually to places in Orlais or small villages in Ferelden, especially after the Blight. After the spire fell she and the remaining mages fled to Andoral's Reach and only recently traveled from there to Skyhold. She has now also been to the Fallow Mire. It was not fun.
Future Plans: Dealing with the shattering of her faith in the system and the Chantry. Working through her distrust of templars and her frustrations with apostates, learning to be both a voice of reason in the council without sacrificing her point of view for the sake of peace. Also training people in ice or spirit magics, sassing them as she heals them, and dealing with weird patients. Handling her new position of guidance for the other mages and balancing that with her own issues and prejudices. Her family is now aware that she's alive so I mean to have some noble shenanigans coming down the line. Betrothal bs and the like.
CR Desires: A little of everything would be awesome. Adele lost a lot of people and learning to reach out and have more people would do wonders for settling her. People to mind, people to argue with, to educate and be educated by, to try to remind her that she's more than just a mage or just a healer and that it's ok to love, that'd be great.

Re: Adelaide "Councilor of Common Sense" LeBlanc
Norrington just wants to impress her. Seriously. Like. He wants your respect, Adelaide. He wants it bad.

Norrington ill earn it little by little by being competent and decent. It'll be p great.

honestly someone that wants to talk to her on a personal rather than political or educational level is what she needs most. Pry her out of that shell and go 'hey you're a people. Be a people.' I think Fate's good at that.
no subject
Excellent! Fate has little interested in politics or classes, so I think that'd be perfect.

And not at all! Come and have tea and talk shop or not talk at all. She's doing a lot of that lately.

In any case, she might be talking to Alayre more often since she's on the council but knowing him, he'll keep all discussions about that brief and over a hot tea.
Though I think Alayre will visit Leblanc to see if he could assist her with anything. Be her bumbling Templar assistant.

Zevran "Assassin of Love" Arainai
Occupation/Role: Assassin, poison master, trap maker, & potentially trainer of rogues.
A/R/N/M: 36, elf, Antivan, not a mage.
Elevator Pitch: The Sexy Antivan Assassin companion to the Hero of Fereldan with HIDDEN DEPTHS (tm), Zevran likes flirting, long walks on the beach, hates the cold and hates abominations for how they explode upon death. He is not terribly judgmental and is pretty chill.
Opinions: Mages are wonderful people on occasion, horrible people on others. Like every other group of living beings, one asshole can ruin it for the rest. On the whole he has no real opinion.
Other Elves he tends to be a little more patient and kind with, not all that often, but some.
Dalish he has some reservations towards for how they treated him during his brush with them in his youth, their traditions make no real sense to him and they are on the whole, either baffling or irritating.
Dwarves are fun but smell weird sometimes.
Qunari are gorgeous.
Humans...are. Everywhere and to be wary of, but they are everywhere so what can an elf do?
Zevran is a devout Andrastian though no one would guess it, but has no real opinion on the religions of others. You do you. Hurrah.
Politics are a mess right now and Zevran is not about to delve into that unless he is going to be paid for it.
He wants to murder: Demons, darkspawn, Antivan Crows, Slavers, etc.
Where They've Been: Zevran was raised in Antiva and had not left the country until the contract on the Wardens life. After the fifth blight he traveled all over Thedas, thwarting the Crows, taking his own contracts and establishing himself as an independent assassin that is expensive but well worth the coin. He's been everywhere and done many things- most of them somewhat absurd or intensely sexy.
Future Plans: In the interest of giving the Inquisition the best tools possible, with the permission of his commanders and the mods he'd begin some manner of training regimen for the rogues of the Inquisition. Crows he would not make them- but proficient enough to be doubly lethal in time. I also want the Crows to come for him and make a little trouble- or some of his previous marks who had surviving family to put the peices together and come for revenge, that'd be fun. Also he needs to deal with squishy sentiment emotions as that wasn't a thing during the Blight. That whole character arc remains untouched!
CR Desires: Assassin shenanigans, rogue shenanigans, sexy flirtations, broships, hoships, telling wild tales, mud wrestling, dealing with his issues which are many and varied and repressed horribly. Friends, lovers, rivals. Everything.
