Elevator Pitch: Gwenaëlle is an Orlesian noble heiress, the author of a more-or-less monthly newsletter on the Inquisition (as well as having art criticism and, under a pseudonym, numerous poems to her publishing credit), ill-suited to the Imperial court and known at home for being "pretty and difficult and pretty fucking difficult", but whip-smart and effective when taking advantage of skills she has instead of trying to force ones she doesn't. Her birth mother was an elven servant who served the Vauquelins for nearly twenty-five years until her recent death at the hands of Dalish elves in Orlais, and she's really fucked up about it.
↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: She's spent most of her life either in the High Quarter of Halamshiral or traveling to follow the Imperial Court, as nobility are wont to do; occasionally holidays at the Leblanc home in Val Royeaux, and spends a bit of time in the Vauquelin country seat. Until coming to Skyhold around about a year ago, she had never left Orlesian borders; since her arrival, she's traveled very little and only back to Orlais.
What They Do: Gwenaëlle is not a member of the Inquisition but a civilian "guest" with an undetermined length of stay due to having an anchor-shard embedded in her hand, so under the purview of the Inquisition itself she has no duties or responsibilities. However, she has the sanction of the advisors to publish her observations - both as a historical record and a propaganda tool to drum up support among people who may not see the direct results of their work every day - and writes down a lot more than she publishes. She often speaks with various members of the Inquisition on different relevant subjects, and isn't without influence.
Who They Know: Romain de Coucy is her maternal grandfather (through her stepmother, the late Annegret de Coucy Vauquelin) and Aleron Darton is a cousin to her through his first marriage to Mirielle Vauquelin Darton - both connections that are relatively easy to hear about or dig up. Her closest confidante is Morrigan, followed probably by Alistair, and that's roughly as weird as it sounds. Yngvi is a close personal friend - and by extension through him and the late Asher Hardie she's connected to the Boneflayers and Asher's younger sister - which is also as weird as it sounds. She's very fond of Bellamy Blake, one of the Templars. She's endeared herself to Cullen Rutherford and has not endeared herself to a whole laundry list of people, probably, she's got a mouth on her.
She and Thranduil were visibly friendly until late last year, and shortly after he gifted her with her dog (a shepherd named Hardie) they more or less stopped being seen together besides an exchange at the Winter Palace. She has probably not replaced Thranduil with a dog.

Plot Plans: Not much set in stone at this stage, but I'm looking forward to the Kirkwall move and Gwenaëlle is not. Adapting to a Free Marcher city will be interesting, and she'll be keen to relocate out of the Gallows at the earliest possible convenience as well as probably complaining that it's unreasonable not to let her as she is a civilian and not a member (Grandpa will be keeping her in line until it's politically feasible, regardless). Wren Coupe is going to be teaching her how to fight, which is going to be an absolute shit show to begin with due to Gwenaëlle necessarily needing to work through some trauma in order to do it.
Development Goals: At the moment mostly her ~learning to protect herself~ stuff is coming up, as well as potentially dealing with some of the stuff raised in the dark future! If anybody is interested in the Gwenaëlle Learns To Fight stuff that'd be cool, though fair warning it's gonna be uphill through the snow both ways and also the snow is angry, and crying. Eventually Thranduil's gonna touch her on the butt and they'll have a TON OF FUN dealing with the horrendous politics of elf-human relationships and Orlesian nobility.
CR Wishlist: She can always use more friends slash friendly alliances, and she's an easy target for negative CR because she's a mouthy pain in the ass! People who are interested in her writing (or annoyed about it)!

Elevator Pitch: Margaux is a 21-year-old Orlesian city elf with a partial university education, a criminal record and no fixed abode; to the Orlesian elite she's a beautiful novelty for the highest bidder and to the Orlesian city elves she always, always knows someone who can help. She has big ideals, bigger dreams and a pragmatic willingness to get her hands dirty to achieve them.
↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: Margaux was born in the Val Royeaux alienage and spent much of her childhood there until the noble family that her parents served decided to retire to the country, where she lasted only a few years before deciding to try her luck hustling the wealthy and left at seventeen to attend university. This did not last, and since then she's traveled Orlais both opportunistically and purposefully, but has largely spent her time in the cities as a professional mistress and occasionally having to slip away before getting caught at her sideline as an anti-establishment pro-elven activist.
What They Do: At the moment, being as she is a literate Orlesian elf, she's primarily been shunted into menial office tasks as there is no organisation in Thedas in which elves do not get the shit jobs. She's trying to philosophically look at it as a stepping stone and also "still better than being arrested in Val Royeaux".
Who They Know: Margaux is SUPER NEW, so she doesn't have a lot of connections! She has an existing friendship with Sabine, who she was super pleased to see again, and is becoming friendly with Pel after they bonded during her first crystal message. She does know Romain de Coucy (a former client she remembers as "that sad old man"), but they aren't in contact and that's unlikely to substantially change.
What They've Been Up To: One time she pointed out there's a lot of Dalish and it went down super well.

Plot Plans: I am super keen for her to be part of the group that goes to Kirkwall early to begin the clean up of the Gallows - Margaux will volunteer in the hopes of getting an opportunity to prove her worth to the Inquisition doing something other than reading Josephine's mail and taking the minutes of the least important meetings. She's also going to be putting up various sexy pro-elf graffiti under the cover of darkness - Yngvi's going to hook a bitch up with some paint and Alan Fane has been promised to me as someone whose shoulders she can sit on when she needs to reach a higher part of the wall, but if anyone else wants to get involved in that somehow, hit me up.
Development Goals: Margaux needs to mature, a little, but I think this is something that will naturally come out of taking her from her comfort zone.
CR Wishlist: Margaux literally needs ALL CR because she is brand baby new. She's naturally more inclined to be friendly with city elves and the downtrodden of humanity, then tal-vashoth/vashoth and rifters, then (very warily, and they'll need to work harder) some Dalish elves, and then it'll be most difficult for successful humans to get much out of her that isn't just Margaux politely waiting for them to get what they want and leave.

Elevator Pitch: Inessa is an alienage elf-turned child prodigy apprenticed-turned new Grey Warden/griffon rider. (And she was in Kinloch Hold during Uldred's uprising, so carries a lot of quiet trauma from that.) She basically exists to help people and being a giant nerd about mage stuff. And make everyone feel tall, because 4'10". She also has a huge mabari/bottomless pit and everyone needs to spoil him.
↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: Ferelden (Denerim, Kinloch Hold, Redcliffe), Orlais (Val Royeaux, Western Approach, Halamshiral), Nevarra, the Anderfels (also Tevinter, but she doesn't advertise that)
For timeline purposes, her life has been Circle mages until the war erupted, and then Grey Warden stuff immediately after.
What They Do: Inessa is a Grey Warden, so her allegiance is to them first and foremost. Everything else is an extension of that.
She shares sleeping space with Ciri over in Camp Shady, and tends to be an early riser who doesn't sleep that much. Mornings are spent training/getting necessary chores out of the way before heading to Skyhold. In Skyhold, she's most easily found in one of the libraries with a pile of books, or playing fetch with Garahel in the courtyard. And of course, she's often in the company of the griffons, especially Potato.
Inessa offers herself as a tutor when available, for mages seeking to master ice magic, hexes or spirit magic. When she's better established as a Rift Mage, she'll offer to teach that specialization as well.
She also teaches some non-magic classes, Alchemy: Potions and Mabari Combat Training.
Who They Know: Inessa spends the greatest amount of time with Ciri, Kain and after that, other fellow Wardens. Any Circle mage from Kinloch Hold is likely to know her or know of her, and possibly Denerim alienage folks though that last connection is pretty frayed. She might also know some of her fellow teachers, especially those that might fill in for her or vice versa.
What They've Been Up To: Mostly the same old stuff, but now with the addition of griffon grooming/training. Inessa is working with Potato to become an adept griffon rider, and they work on this together or also with Kain, who Potato has also accepted. The search for a more dignified name continues.
She's also been delving into Necromancy studies and whatever spare time she has to herself is revolving around slowly progressing in that area.
↠ HOPES & DREAMS
Plot Plans: No set plots for the moment, I want to see how she adjusts to the upcoming move. Most likely she'll be moving when the general population does, unless I change my mind. When that happens, she'll settle in at the Gallows, at least until other arrangements can be made.
Development Goals: Inessa still has trauma related to abominations and whatnot, which I'll someday revisit. (Visiting Kinloch Hold may or may not be a part of this.) She has other issues to work on as well, but the trick is getting her to find people she trusts enough to share those. See wishlist.
CR Wishlist: Past CR is awesome, as mentioned above. I'd love her to make more friends and people who will help her unwind/not be so serious or a workaholic. I also love culture clashes that won't necessarily result in negative CR (though not avoiding it, either), so interactions with apostate mages or more elfy elves are always fine. Dog-lovers are definitely welcome.

Elevator Pitch: A Vashoth mercenary mage of the Valo-Kas company, here to kick ass. Headstrong, stubborn, blunt but beneath all that (not very far, either) a caring person who 100% supports those who have her back. Also very supportive of her fellow mages in general and looking to be an example as both one and a Vashoth.
↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: Everywhere that isn't Tevinter, Seheron or Par Vollen. Yes, even the Fade.
What They Do: Korrin is a mercenary, trainer/teacher and member of the Mage Council. So when she's not out on a mission, she's usually involved political issues which test her patience or helping those with lightning affinities gain better control/finesse with that element. At some point after the move, she'll offer Knight-Enchanter training.
She teaches a few classes and they are: Introductory Qunlat, The Care and Feeding of Your Mount (Nuggalope emphasis) and Alchemy: Grenades.
Broad strokes: She spends days training (both Knight-Enchanter and Rift Mage stuff) and doing whatever the Inquisition needs of her. Evenings are tavern time. She shares sleeping space with Araceli and Lux. The best places to find her are by the training dummies, at the tavern, or the kitchen/undercroft.
Note: the above is all subject to change with the move to Kirkwall.
Who They Know: Korrin knows a lot of people. Think of it like 'six degrees of Kevin Bacon' but Thedas-style, okay. If you're on the Mage Council, she will have made a (loud) impression. If you're a regular at the tavern, so is she. And of course if you're important to Araceli, then she'll take special notice. She's basically adopted a bunch of people by now, including Kas, Merrill, Sina, Taashath, and so on.
What They've Been Up To: You know, the usual dark au stuff where everything goes to hell and she's probably going to die horribly. But aside from that, she's doing alright! She's still teaching her classes and training up her nuggalope, harassing people who need it.
↠ HOPES & DREAMS
Plot Plans: She might be among those who head out early to get Kirkwall ready for the Inquisition. There's no way in hell she'll live at the Gallows, but she'll settle in at the docks somewhere. The irony won't escape her, but she won't care. Anything's better than the Gallows.
Development Goals: Adjusting to Kirkwall life, especially being a qunari in a city where they haven't made a good impression. There may not be any mobs after her, but she's not necessarily going to have a good time of it. Kirkwall natives/frequent visitors that can help her adjust would be welcome.
CR Wishlist: Past CR is awesome, since Korrin's been almost everywhere. Other than that, more friends/friends-who-become-family are always welcome. She needs people who don't take her shit/let her steamroll them, as well as people who bring out the protective side of her. (Not hard.)

Where They've Been: He's been hanging around Skyhold, going out camping sometimes. He will actually go out of his way to talk to people so you can feel free to assume this giant with red hair has smiled and said hello at some point even if they haven't talked.
What They Do: He is a warrior who is also a Spirit. Currently he is mastering changes to his spirit powers so he can be more useful to the people around him. And so he can be sent on more missions. He definitely would like to do more of those.
Who They Know: No CR chart yet but he's close to Sam, Kirk, Hermione, Pel, Cyril, Waver, Bethany, Anders, Nate, Inessa...and knows others like James, Korrin, Cole, Cade (this one did not go well)...and many others. He's very social.
What They've Been Up To: Currently mastering the changes to his Spirit powers. Also forever learning about the cultures of Thedas. Once Kirkwall happens you can be sure he'll be making nice with the locals and worming his way into their hearts the best he can.

Elevator Pitch: Everyone has that one drunk uncle that is pretty gross but you kind of like him anyway. Okay you definitely like him. That's basically Oghren. He's crude and lewd and drinks more than anyone else in Skyhold but he's a good friend to have. If you can get past how he smells.

Where They've Been: Oghren just got here and was a Vigil's Keep Grey Warden. He's figured out that he best if he's where he can be sent into the fight so he hitched a ride here. Don't worry, he told Felsi and his kid where he's going this time.
What They Do: He is a Grey Warden with the specialization of Berserker. He's a surprisingly good fighter given how much he drinks but he's also here to make sure things aren't too serious. Because let's not be depressing people.
Who They Know: He was in the Fifth Blight with the Origins Crew. He was also in Awakening with the Awakening Crew. Inessa is familiar with him because she was at the Circle when he was there to save it. Teren knows him and they hate each other. There is HISTORY there, people. By now the rest of the Warden Crew will have smelled him but otherwise he's still new and getting to know people.
What They've Been Up To: He's been figuring out this Inquisition stuff and catching up with past companions. And bullshitting the story of how Wardens become Wardens.

Plot Plans: Nothing currently! He's still brand new so I'd like to see about getting him involved in things!
Development Goals: I'd like him to get to a point where he's got a good family thing going on. Not like he gets married again and has more kids but more like some people come to him for training and he builds up his own unit around that. Could be fun at least.

Elevator Pitch: A Grey Warden who takes things very seriously, he's a warrior and reaver, and semi-recently became a griffon rider! He loves the sky and mountains, heights in general, and all flying things. Dragons are deeply important to him, being his family crest, and his family has some ancient history with them too. He's always up for a fight!
↠ CONNECTIONS
Where They've Been: He's originally from Orlais, and was stationed there initially when he became a Warden about six years ago. Various Warden missions brought him all over Thedas. He was at that whole mess with Clarel, later ending up in Griffon Wing Keep. He was in the Winter Palace during the whole Freemen attack.
What They Do: Warden, Griffon Rider, warrior. He's very much a Forces type of guy. He spends a lot of time training, or researching old dragon lore. He co-teaches the dragon class with Alan.
Who They Know: Kain has a lot of connection to his fellow Wardens first and foremost, considering them his closest allies. Inessa is someone he's grown especially close to and now that he's developing deeper feelings, he's trying to sort those out. He's getting to know a lot of folks, a few rifters included too.
What They've Been Up To: Kain is very focused on griffon training at the moment, so he spends a lot of time with Potato. Though he tends to his dracolisk often too and can be seen often with the crazy swearing parrot (or if anyone comes across a crazy swearing parrot... it's his, yeeeeeah). He'll be coming to Kirkwall as late as he can, and maybe looking for some sort of mission to keep himself busy/away from there for the most part until things are more settled.

Plot Plans: Just waiting to see how things go in Kirkwall, mainly! Once the right sort of plot arises, I definitely want to get him badly beaten up sometime, too, just waiting to see the right thing for it.
Development Goals: I want to develop his whole thing for Inessa, which will be pushed a lot once he gets those letters of his from the future. I'm looking forward to seeing how that'll go!
CR Wishlist: Everything! He can always use more friends, but rivalries are a lot of fun too. Sparring partners are good.

Where They've Been: Haunted the White Spire until the revolt there, killed some people, then left and wandered Thedas looking for people to help. He stayed with the Templars without them realising he was there before joining the Inquisition just before the fall of Haven.
What They Do: Helps people. He literally just wanders around reading people's emotions and helping to soothe them.
Who They Know: Cole was closer to a few people before he left, but he has a strange ability where people often forget him if not exposed to his presence. He has no real close friends, no real connections, and no idea how to even begin making friends.
What They've Been Up To: Cole has heard of plans to move to Kirkwall and is currently working out if he will go or if he'll make his own way. He's been trying to help people about the place, and made some tentative overtures to healing his fear of Templars.

Plot Plans: I'm currently trying to work out what would push Cole to be willing to risk his existence and the lives of others in going to Kirkwall. I am super open to suggestions on this.
Development Goals: In line with above, I'd like Cole to make a couple of real connections, real friends with whom he can start exploring his human side, the broken, sharp bits that this Cole glosses over because he has little idea how to have empathy for himself. It's by mattering to others than I think Cole can learn to see himself more as an individual with his own mind, emotions and needs.

Where They've Been: Everywhere!! Barring main parts of Tevinter and Par Vollen because yeah there's no way he could get through there without something happening. He's been going around Thedas since 9:35 Dragon so anytime between then until 9:41 when the Inquisition first comes to the Crossroads since that's when Bruce joined. Of course, all pre-established CR is totally cool with me!! I love pre-established CR.
As for Hulk its been making some rounds as well in the past as seen here. People are generally free to assume to have seen those sightings and if you want to plot things around that, feel free!!
What They Do: Serves mostly as a surgeon despite being outed as a mage already, though he does do healer stuff upon request. His primary focus is non-magic healing since he's much more comfortable with that (and there will always be people who don't like magic, so). Having said that, he's usually found at the healer area for his work. He's also recently been starting to be sent on missions, so yeah. And he's also been appointed as Leliana's direct report though the game doesn't have one now BUT if there is anything that you want to do with that I'm down with it too - though with the move to Kirkwall this will probably change.
Who They Know: Eternal frienemy of Anders, Pel's roommate, helps a lot in the garden with Sina, hangs out with Velanna pretty often. Also reluctant owner of that one dracolisk that prtends its a mabari.
What They've Been Up To: He's just been keeping his head down, as always.

Where They've Been: He’s a Rifter, so he was stolen here from inside his TARDIS – that still bothers him. Just a few weeks prior to that, he had saved New York, by letting someone else “The Ghost” save New York. And just prior to that, he sent his Wife, River Song, to her death. They’re both time travellers and met out of order, the first day he met her, she died to save his life. And after spending a 24-year night on Darillium, he sent her to go save his younger him. And just prior to that, he erased all his memories of his companion Clara Oswald (which he’s pieced a lot of it together). And just prior to that, he spent 4.5 billion years in his Confession Dial and died over 230 billion times in order to break out of it. (His life is so depressing.) Just as he was not making any friends because his personality gets in the way (Someone app a Nardole, a fanfic for a Nardole), he got sent on an investigation which ended up sending him to the Dark!AU future. But now he’s back and has more or less been keeping to himself. Because of things in the future, he’s taken to wearing a glove on his left hand (the hand with the shard in it). Everyone else wants to change the future, but they had become part of the future and the paradox loop that will cause is horrifying to his Time Lord brain. Also, he’s missing River and his TARDIS something fierce.
What They Do: Mostly, researcher and sciency type things. But, in the Dark!AU, a lot of his fighting skills from the Time War have returned, so he’s not half bad at fighting either.
Who They Know: Jamie McCrimmion. Hermione. Cosima. But he’s met a lot of people, because that’s something he does. Also, there’s the TTT group, but he’s pretty sure they all hate him at this point. That’s fine. It makes it easier to not get attached, since all he wants is to return to his own universe.
What They've Been Up To: He will get shot by an arrow during the TTT escape/return. (Thread for that will be posted soon, if I can get my act together.) While his healing abilities are still fairly rapid. He doesn’t want anyone to know about that. So, he’s acting like the shoulder still hurts. Research. Asking questions.

So, he needs people who will be patient with him and point out when he does things not great. Also, he needs to get over the hole in his heart left by River. So showing him that being able to be loved once means he can do it again. Also, his anti-touch attitude has come back with vengeance since leaving River, so something along the lines of helping him to see that touch, hugs, holding hands, etc. are all okay things.

Where They've Been: Originally from Japan in the late 1920s before falling out a rift. He's been around all the major islands (and some of the minor ones) slaying Mononoke from about the mid-Heian period till early 20th century. In Thedas, he's been to Skyhold and some of the surrounding wilderness. He absolutely misses not being able to wander freely wherever he likes, but he's getting used to it
or at least biding his time until the shard can be dealt with.What They Do: He sells herbal remedies that may or may not work (or work too well). Also has a knack for getting rid of demon-y things, though his sympathies definitely lie on the more spiritual side. He can generally be found among the merchants or wandering around exploring things and nosing in on other people's business.
Who They Know: He doesn't 'know' anyone, but he has bumped into Korrin, Inessa, Morrigan, Waver, Iskander, Cole, Kain, and (more recently) Nahariel and Sina and has had a reasonably good impression of them.
What They've Been Up To: Now that he's got his footing and has a basic understanding of How Things Are Done in Thedas, he's going to get down to business as usual in slaying nasty things that plague the mortal realm. This means he's going to take a deep interest in demons/abominations, darkspawn, the Fade, Dalish lore, Tevinter lore, (eventually) Avvar lore, Thedasion magic in general, etc. Kirkwall is going to be a blast for him because he will legit be in his element. Plot Plans: There was a mention of hauntings at the Gallows so come April, Med Man is going to be rubbing his face all in that. Despite generally being the sort who does things on his own, he's at least aware that he doesn't know everything about how this world works, so he will definitely be looking for help in eradicating any sort of bad juju in Kirkwall.
Development Goals: Getting him to be a bit less of a cynical misanthrope would be gr8. So far so good.

Kirkwall; I have an idea for reclaiming a ship out on the Wounded Coast that might also be a fun beach episode thing and it'd need several mages to test out spells. Because in the present timeline Araceli and Korrin had discussed magic + trying to sail off the edges of the map so if you'd like to get in on that I would love it.
Mage stuff; do you play a mage, do they care about mage politics? I really want to keep doing stuff with this since it's a thing Araceli was meant to do stuff with but with so much of the mage council gone it's...kind of up in the air? But if anyone is game to have her come pester their mage I'll send her along.
Development Goals:
I'd like for her to bring up more of her own thing (which she does do but Thedas is more about elves + mages vs templars so she tends to keep things in a more ~productive~ way) back home and what she did. She's told a few people here what she does for a living actually but I'm cool for people to put the clues together since it wouldn't be horrendously difficult and it'd be fun to see where it went when she's been keeping things from basically all of her friends for such a long time.

Elevator Pitch: An 18th century Scotsman who wound up traveling through time and space before falling through a rift into Thedas. Generally impulsive, brave and not afraid to make his opinions known, but loyal to his friends and willing to do quite a lot for them.

Where They've Been: So far since arriving in Thedas he's been around Haven, Skyhold, the Fallow Mire, just east of the Emerald Graves, Emprise du Lion, Western Approach, the Hinterlands and Halamshiral. Spent some time kidnapped by Venatori and languishing in a dungeon deep within a fortress but doesn't talk about that much. Went off helping to rescue Anders and Alistair and then wound up back in the Hinterlands.
What They Do: What do they do within the Inquisition? Do they have any services they offer or A rifter who closes rifts and fights for the inquisition and a former clan piper who still plays when it's appropriate. He can teach sword fighting or hand to hand, how to ride a horse...and he knows enough about closing rifts that he can at least explain it, although not necessarily as well as some other people. He can also shoot bits of rift stuff out of his hand and is strangely a little better at explaining that, go figure.
Who They Know: The Doctor, Hermione, Anders, Korrin, Araceli, Church, Cosima, Sina, Inessa, Alan, Ellana, Rey and Oghren in a 'had a conversation and has been warned not to drink with him sort of way', for a start, also is happy to strike up conversations with people so there's a fair few others in there as well.
What They've Been Up To: Had been working with Church and Cosima to slowly take over the tavern in Skyhold and introduce flavored vodka and blooming onions to the world, but I have no idea where that will go now. Also in the TTT pretended to be dead and called himself 'Black Donald' for a bit while working with Anders to take down the man. I mean enemy. When the TTT turned up he got to admit a few things that'd he'd had a few years to think about to Hermione and that will be coming back to affect him in the present.

Plot Plans: Mostly he'll just be settling in Kirkwall and at some point having a Talk with Hermione while trying not to be overly protective about her. Development Goals: Learning about the dark future and dealing with the fallout of that. Possibly seeing about learning new and fun specializations but that'll be a little down the road thanks to RL.

Plot Plans: In Kirkwall, he is going to be quietly attempting to mange Gwen's displeasure while concentrating on building connections. He's going to get a house in Kirkwall once that's allowed, and while he's not enamored of the locale, he wasn't that attached to Skyhold either.
Development Goals: He's new enough that I'm really interested in building him some base-level CR. He's easy to get negative CR with, and that's fun, but I'd also be interested in having him surprise himself with people who he ends up respecting. He's set in his ways, but he's not stupid, and I would be interested to find those two qualities in conflict the longer he's outside Orlais.
CR Wishlist: Frenemies forever. (No, really.) Easy hooks with him are people who are good at diplomacy, good with information, or good with his granddaughter. (As Yngvi found, bad with Emeric Vauquelin will also work.)
